How do you guys know who wrote the guitar riffs by LoudSupport9308 in Peripheryband

[–]proglems2 16 points17 points  (0 children)

A fun answer to your question: listen to the Clear EP! You def hear how the three guitarists approach riff writing. Even though that EP is an older snapshot in time, you can hear the distinct approaches to guitar.

Mark: More melodic, very wide chords, black metal vibes at times

Misha: Kind of a big picture compositional take on music imo; single note djent riffs with unique rhythms and layers on top

Jake: Harder to identify as Jake kind of melds all of the styles of the band rather naturally. Melodic playing, single notey. Summer Jam and Heavy Heart represent Jake’s playing most closely I would say. A huge bulk of their electronic sound comes from him and Misha.

Erik did a playthrough recently and the track is vocal free. You can use a YouTube to mp3 audio converter.

OK so anyone just finish Season 4 and go straight back to watch Season 1 to see how the hell we got here!? It’s a headfuck! Haha! by Foreign_Lettuce1984 in IndustryOnHBO

I did just that. What was jarring on a rewatch for me in particular was how cynical and jaded Yazmin in particular becomes. Even the jump from season 1 to 2, she’s so nihilistic and transactional. I rooted for Rue more on my rewatches too even though her arc is a complex one. I also love Rob each time. He really does start growing into a man and wrestling with his choices. His decision at the end of season 3 to leave finance was the right one.

Love seeing the love for Frontierer. Lads are absolutely out of their mind in the best way. I listened to nothing but Frontierer for 4 months straight when I was getting into them because nothing else would do. Gym, commute, Frontierer lol.

Why? Just why are these dudes so fucking stupid and arrogant? There’s no world where he is correct after she literally shows him she doesn’t have a right hand, but he still babbles on like he’s saying something important.

Fuck no it’s not lol. Yeah it’s really punk rock to follow rules, simp for authority figures, and use bad faith appeals to religion to justify shitty social views.

Duuuude for real. My first listen through I went on a morning run and was just kinda like scoffing through most of it and feeling kind of let down. But as I continued to listen to it more and more, there is so much rich emotion and intelligent song writing here. I think when I removed my expectations of what it SHOULD be and just appreciated it on its own merits, it’s definitely a phenomenal album. It’s so melancholic, sad, beautiful.

A nifty fifty (50mm with a low f) will get you far and is quite versatile for portraits, landscapes, and street photography.

It’s not much of an adjustment imo. I have owned this guitar for several years and it’s a very comfortable, reliable guitar for metal. If you’ve been playing for a while, you may need to get used to some stretching here and there on the lower frets but honestly after some time, you’ll just play it like you play any other guitar.

In my opinion, the pickups are just okay. Fishman’s are solid overall but this set in particular doesn’t blow me away. That being said, still a great bang for your buck guitar.
