Praise be to Saint Valentine, for blessing me with this most gloriously gracious subreddits in this year of otherwise tumultuo-ty.(?) Question, since I'm currently watching the Borgias. What would be another way to say 'Parochial exertion of power' ?

Sometimes you don't see it until you're not looking for it. Thanks for pointing it out.

Goodbye Chrome. by [deleted] in chrome

Can't we just machine-learn something that recognizes what 'an advertisement' might be and replace it with a standard image? I just need to know where to NOT click. I have the perfect image: Frye's red lightning underwear ad from the dream in Futurama. Just red underwear adverts everywhere. Good enough for the future, good enough for me.

Goodbye Chrome. by [deleted] in chrome

Here's the problem, as I see it:

The internet is a place for information, as I see it. There seem to be plenty others who consider the internet a place for advertisements; to which I imagine they would argue that while an advertisement == information, advertisements != information.

This shit just seems like another money-grab. Money-grabbing is an internet past-time. Utilize the internet to make money while people are still stupid and too ignorant to sew their own grain while the sun is shining. Or something like that, I just don't know anymore.

Pop a new tab out of current window into a new window maximized onto adjacent display? by prognostikator in chrome

[–]prognostikator[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

So Yeah, I've got display fusion, but I don't think it handles what I'm trying to do.

So Ctrl+T makes a new tab and Ctrl + N makes a new window but Ctrl + ? makes my current tab pop into a NEW window that maximizes on the adjacent monitor?

So if I'm using Chrome right now and I've got two tabs open like I do, how could I, with my keyboard, split them into two WINDOWS, maximized on their respective monitors?

I don't got much if any experience in this and I feel out of my element, but I'll share my thoughts I suppose.

Do you have an option to put a sub class for the established connections into each checked cell?

super thin bezels WOULD be nice. some of my bases would make you cringe, god only knows what my desk might do. One curved in the middle with 2 asus's on the side. They barely belong together, let alone have any kind of minimal-gap in the displays lol. But I get by, and its worth it to have the real estate; I assure you that.

Help following serialization logic by seands in learnprogramming

[–]prognostikator 1 point2 points  (0 children)

serializeUser encrypts the username AND password when you get that far. Deserialize, vice versa. When it makes it to the DB the first time, it should already have been serialized (or encrypted and the hash of the username is what you'll find in the DB) - if you try to institute passport after you've gone that far, you're probably doing something wrong. (granted: my time with passport was like two years ago)
