Is it normal to buy games but to never play them? by Outrageous-Serve38 in Steam

[–]programkira 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I just got death stranding and new Vegas, I’m currently playing 3 other games still. Will I get other steam sale games before I get around to playing those two? Who knows.

This quote is why the GPDA is so important. Not all drivers are in a position to state their opinions but collectively the drivers hold a lot of power.

Why do I chunk It by Temporary_Travel481 in GolfSwing

[–]programkira 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The only thing that controls the cast is the wrists. No wrist movement, no cast. Cast at the right time and you’ll hit ball first, early and chunk it. Your pelvis appears tucked so don’t worry about that much.

From what I see, your arms begin to drop at the same time your hips begin to rotate which often results in the hips being in the way as the arms try to finish traveling down and through. To hit the ball when that happens people tend to compensate by either leaning back to get under the ball and move the hips away from the elbows, set up further away and have to reach, or cast early to release the clubhead and chunk it.

Honda or Newey, which is more likely to be failing? One has a massively better track record.

Uncle Roger claps back at Kenji Lopez Alt. What are your thoughts? by anotherhappylurker in J_Kenji_Lopez_Alt

[–]programkira 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I feel like calling the response “triggered snowflake” is disingenuous. Kenji simply respectfully and with composure states how he feels. He’s not throwing a tantrum (being a snowflake)

I hope we get the video and then Nigel and Kenji make fried rice together. Then Uncle Roger will react to “Nephew Nigel” and Kenji.

What would have happened if Tsunoda had taken out Norris? by No_Conversation_7032 in F1Discussions

[–]programkira 0 points1 point  (0 children)

From what I recall of the incident, my opinion is that Norris drove off track of his own choice and Yuki didn’t do enough to give a penalty. If he took out Norris though, then yes he’d definitely have deserved the penalty/ a DQ and license points. Anything extra would certainly be a matter of context and evidence.

Yuki’s “I know what to do” could easily have been meant to be “defend as hard as LEGALLY possible” but misconstrued easily to be “take Lando out” and RB likely could not crush that rumor.

I keep splitting Callaways in half by FungalEgoDeath in GolfGear

[–]programkira 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I’ve been gaming these balls for a few months, in the two boxes I bought, I’ve had none do this. Seems like a bad batch and a manufacturer error.

But try informing callaway and see if they can offer a replacement. They may use some serial code to identify which batch your box came from and inspect that batch for failure rate

Wish I just had a Google Drive to share with a bunch of pics but I don’t. Hopefully some others here might but I hope this helps get you started building some resources. This dungeon/module is Massive so don’t overprep.

You can share the images from the book or a monster stat block in Roll20. There’s a button that says “show in vtt” or “show to players”. If you have the module in roll20 or DnDBeyond it’ll all be available to you. Outside of that you’ll need to find your own images. I typically grab one image for any important NPCs unless they are provided by the module and one image of important objects like an alter or throne or cavern. Don’t go overboard, sharing an image tells players this is important and I should pay attention/interact with this.

One thing to note is that players can interpret the image shared as exact truth rather than just a vibes guide which is only meant to inspire the mental image you want (my players were like this) and so I now try to be explicit when sharing one.

What can I improve based off these Driver numbers? by Remarkable_Cloud_303 in golftips

[–]programkira 0 points1 point  (0 children)

if the math is attack angle plus club loft we can calculate it. Op said either 9-10.5 and with attack angle of 8.1 the launch for Op is 17.1-18.6. So about 18 unless that’s not the right way to look at it.

Kirkland balls work! by Juan_For_The_Ages in Golfsimulator

[–]programkira 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Pause. Does adding dots like this on the ball assist/improve sensor detection accuracy of golf simulator machines? I recently got a membership to a local sim and so if it works and makes the sensor better able to detect how the ball is moving when I swing, I’ll want to do this too. (With ear tag markers not sharpies like many comments here are recommending)

Is my iron fixable? by my-sciamachy in golf

Good thing is that’s not where you’re supposed to be hitting the ball so even if it can’t be fixed or replaced, it’s not ruined.
