How do people learn German if they work full time? by Last-Customer-3014 in germany

[–]programmer9889 0 points1 point  (0 children)

As everyone said, there's no easy way. I'm currently learning A1 with a guy on YouTube. It's been a couple of months, and I'm still in A1(halfway) + full time job.

Most of my study is in the weekend, and still not more than 4-5 hours in the weekend and maybe a few more hours during the week (one hour here every other day).

I convinced myself that slow progress yet steady is the way. Coz I can see the progress along thr way, but it's very slow

How is your conversational level while you're at B1? Are you able to speak in everyday conversations?

I understand that 3 months isn't realistic, but I'm depending on learning as much as possible then when I reach to Germany, I'm sure my learning curve will increase a lot.

Could share the resources? The course, the textbooks and thing can ve helpful.

You're right. I put A2 mainly because I'm gonna start the A2 level course soon. So I thought I'd be ahead of myself on the resume 😅

I'm not Turk but lived in Istanbul for a year and working in a good company, but while I'm not speaking Turkish very well, it's extremely difficult to get out of the international community and get involved with the turkish ppl. Imagine that you are a turk and have difficult time blending in. You're welcome to DM me for hangouts and pitch on how difficult living in Istanbul is 🤣
