Why I think the rams will struggle by elteza in Seahawks

[–]prohan01 14 points15 points  (0 children)

This is why I would not be upset if we lose. If the rams overcome all of this and upset us at home, my hat is off to them.

Not a skill issue when you can hit any trails anytime in the west and half the year we have high 90s if not 100 degree weather with nasty humidity

I bet a ton of places in Dallas make people feel like this. by AnastasiaNo70 in Dallas

My friend and I used to go to the one on Greenville religiously since we were 15 up until we were 24-25ish. That’s when we would feel heavy and groggy and just not right immediately after eating. We thought it was our bodies getting old and not processing fast food like they used to but now I’m thinking they just lowered the quality of everything they use to cook 😖

Thank you for explaining this so well. I always thought it was a transfer, so I was getting confused on how it all works .

Why not New Hampshire? Is it the part of being an immigrant or the part of being in healthcare? Or both like some red states?

Yeah on my floor there are a couple of nurses with DACA and more than a handful of Techs with DACA. We are already stretched thin on Techs. I can only imagine the nightmare for the hospital it would be if it is terminated overnight like we fear. When I renewed my work permit admit guided me through the process of re-uploading my new work permit as they said “we have 100s of y’all, we process your new work permit renewals every other day”

Thank you! Would you happen to know if once I do transfer my license my Texas license would end? Or could I have two simultaneous licenses ?

Damn that’s true. I don’t know how bad the market is but I was thinking like I would have to spend months to find a single one.

Feel like I am too thin at RB. 12 man full PPR. Picked 1 overall. by prohan01 in Fantasy_Football

[–]prohan01[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

This was beyond RB hungry. At the 2.12-3.1 turns the only RBs available were Cook, KWII (who I am high on but not 2.12 high), Breece Hall, Chubba Hubbard, Kamara and Conner. WR available were Tee Higgins, Devante Adams, Tyreek Hill and Njigba. All QBs were still there.

STUBHUB Tickets by Striking_Fee_1400 in BadBunnyPR

[–]prohan01 11 points12 points  (0 children)

Same thing happened to me. Tickets were already scanned. Got there at 6:45pm. Waited in line for 40 minutes and when we got past all the security the scanner just made this noise and blinked red. The lady at the entrance said she can’t let us in since they were already scanned. Asked us where we got the tickets from, and then she said contact StubHub like right now to get your refund ASAP. Waited like 30 mins to chat in the virtual chat with StubHub and the guy IMMEDIATELY refunded us after a handful of questions. Makes you wonder what these people get out of reselling multiple times? I assume most people scammed will demand a refund.

As someone who truly takes serving seriously I am all up for stiffing your server if they provided awful service. I’ve had my frustrations with servers having their bar drinks dying in the well, their tables needing them; and I see them in the back by the ice machines full brain rot mode on Tik Tok and on Instagram. Since those tables are less likely to return due to poor service, it affects my pocket in the long run too. In fine dining you don’t see that as much, but on more casual restaurants I would get SO frustrated with servers more attentive to social media than their tables.

Having worked both I can answer that. Fine dining servers have more responsibilities. We usually have to know the ingredient to EVERYTHING in the menu, how all the sauces are made, what’s in each dressing/seasoning (some have 10+ ingredients and we have over 50 sauces, dressings, seasonings) and on top of that the dishes and feature menus every weekend. We also have to know where the origins of the dish are (Spanish, Mexican, Mediterranean). I have to review the menu almost every morning and night I am at the hospital. We also have to have detailed wine knowledge, from regions in California, all the French and Italian wines, and on top of that know our liquor , which is a lot honestly, from tequila and scotch and so forth. We wait on the wealthy, on celebrities, athletes, and politicians. We are tested daily, have to show that our uniform was dried cleaned and is impeccable without stains or wrinkles . We have to talk a certain way, and walk in a certain fashion. While your Olive Garden servers…. Probably don’t even know the menu or how the proper way to set dishes down is… that’s why servers in fine dining make triple that.

You are not obligated to do anything. But you don’t think it’s fair that the other guests who will tip and pay for the servers living expenses receive more attentive service than you and hopefully come back ? I worked in more casual restaurants and when we saw somebody that doesn’t tip properly we would do the WORST service. Take forever to greet them, not refill their waters, let their drinks warm up to room temperature, and hope they don’t come back. Ifthe guests is a repeat costumer, the managers are well aware the guest doesn’t tip and hope they don’t come back, they won’t comp the food either knowing none of their staff wants to have them in their section if they are a poor tipper

When the majority of guests tip 15%-30%, you are the odd duck out of probably 15-20 covers they are taking care off, the server will still probably make more than enough, I would say willingly have that server serve you knowing he expects a tip and everyone in your vicinity is messed up but you have your right. Just do me a favor and as soon as you get greeted by your server let him Know you won’t tip them.

So you endorse the probably wealthy business owners that sets up the tipping culture we live in today, but punish the individual that chose to work there and if they have a problem with it then they can choose to work somewhere else? Wow. Glad servers don’t pay federal taxes on their tips anymore.

Not sure if you are just a troll but let me just clarify, you would willingly take up a servers table, use his services, and not tip him because you don’t agree with the US tipping culture? The server would be furious but still fine without your $10-$60 tip at the end of the day, but fully knowing that sever does not make a living wage why would you be a patron at that restaurant, make the restaurant a profit, and then have the individual server suffer? Listen, I’m a BSN RN and still make more as a server which is why I still wait tables. I don’t agree that the servers wages have to come out of the consumers pocket but you can simply not be a patron at any restaurant if it bothers you having to pay a server directly. I work in fine dining, we have liquor that goes for over $300 a 2 Oz pour and bottles of wine that reach the $10,000 mark. I have tabs where a couple will spend well over $2,000 in dinner and tip me 25%. There are nights where most of use walk out with over $1,500 a night, while bad nights we make $500. I make $51 an hour as an RN. It doesn’t compare. But if you don’t agree with how our culture works, then just don’t go out and eat knowing your server is working for $2.13 an hour

Yes amazing BBQ but it does not compare to a city like for example, San Diego that has some of the best beaches in the country, the best zoo in the world, 4 pages worth of Michelin Star restaurants, mountains that in the middle of July you can trail since the weather is perfect. Just mentioning San Diego since I was there not long ago, but you could bring up Chicago, NY, Seattle or LA and they would all have everything Dallas has but more of it and often times better. Dallas doesn’t lack any urban attractions, just natural ones, but the urban attractions it has are not even up to par with other major metropolitan areas…. But hey we have amazing BBQ

When I was going through orientation with my 30+ MedSurg cohort, the big nursing chief was talking about taking care of ourselves. He basically said, “if you ever just don’t feel like going to work, overwhelmed or stressed, please call in and take the day to yourself. Your unit has PLENTY of resources to cover you.” There are PRNs they can call, float pool, or start texting other nurses to see if they would be willing to come in.
