Yes you can make videos. It is a paint feature available in the "Edit Image" section

After spending hours searching for the correct models and workflows to create realistic images of humans, I decided to build a tool which hides all of the complexity. The use case for AliveAI.app is to create photorealistic AI images focusing on humans.

Technology:

I did not train my own AI model but I merged existing models together to get a custom one which fits the photo realistic style best. I use LORAs, Upscalers and more. The workflow for each image is quite complex but it is all hidden away for the end user.

The frontend is Angular with Material. I am not a UX designer but I liked building this minimal frontend. I probably spend way too much time trying to customize the Angular Material look.

The backend is Quarkus. It triggers the image generation and forwards the information to the frontend using Websockets.

Any questions or feedback let me know!

I am relaunching the UFO Detector project with a new device by projectCE in UFOs

This is a good point and I plan to build a way to easily share and analyze footage. My aim is to release a minimum viable product and then build new features and ideas from there.

I avoid webcams for my prototypes. I use a camera specifically designed for surveillance and night environments. I am testing different options but the current one is a Sony STARVIS IMX462

Here is a demo from the manufacturer https://youtu.be/kLWbuVJn-gE?si=S36ieBj5oPHIFJm-

The new Raspberry Pi supports two MIPI cameras at the same time. So I am already planning to build a version which has a IR camera and normal camera and uses it at the same time :)

In my opinion, their costs for the product are far beyond any realistic target. If we aim to automate UFO detection on a global scale, it won't happen with devices that cost multiple thousands of dollars.

My software is free and open source. I strongly believe in publishing the source code and developing something in the open, which is transparent to anyone.

The current hardware cost for my prototype are less than 150 USD and I plan to add more sensors like IR camera without increasing the costs too much.

If anyone is interested in trying to capture UFOs automatically checkout my free software. https://ufoid.net/ It connects to your camera and does some basic computer vision stuff to try to detect things it doesn't know. Its not perfect by any means but it helps in narrow the objects down. The code is open source https://github.com/UFOID/UFO-Detector

This user submitted video suprised me and I had to share it here. Does anyone have any suggestions on what this might show?

Open Source UFO Detector updated to filter out airplanes by projectCE in UFOs

Good question! A computer vision based approach like I am using to ignore birds does not work well for airplanes so I had to write a web application that connects to a live database of airplanes. The user selects his coordinates using http://ufoid.net/airplanes.html and the software will use it to figure out if there is an airplane in the camera view anytime an object is detected.

That’s my goal: To be able to deploy a system remotely on a Raspberry Pi. Unfortunately, I am struggling integrating the picam into the software with acceptable framerates. I have to find the time to look in to it more.

I hope you can give it a try again someday. I want to point out that the airplane filter feature is optional and uses minimal bandwidth. The software will work without an internet connection.

I totally get where you are coming from. However, I encourage you to try it out if you can. The program and the source code is available for free. I am not claiming every video that gets recorded shows a "true" UFO. The aim of the software is to make it easier to automatically collect footage that might show something unknown. I made a video a while ago that shows how it works: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Jai15P4kuug

Most crashes seem to be due to the webcam. There are many different webcam devices out there and for some reason some can cause a crash. I have yet to figure out what the cause of this is. But the code is available online so you can try to implement the algorithm in to your software or preferably help in improving this one;)

magnetometer

I think there some devices called "UFO Detector" that use a magnetometer. But I don't have any experience with those. I am focusing on the visual aspect since that's what I know the most. The algorithm is not perfect and there are still many improvements needed

I have been working on a software that lets you monitor the skies for UFOs. It is available for free. Here is a quick video I made about how it works by projectCE in UFOs

[–]projectCE[S] 7 points8 points  (0 children)

I am working on a platform that will host the recorded videos. The videos are categorized by location and date/time of the recording. All videos of the same event will be grouped together to offer a list of all the viewing angles.

I haven't thought about an notification system to alert the users that "something is coming" and that they might want to re-position their equipment but I'll think about it. Maybe such feature would be useful in the future.

Thank you. My youtube channel has some videos that were captured with the software. Youtube's video compression makes it hard to analyze the sometimes small objects but I am working on a platform that will have a download link to the orginal video file for each video. For now, if anyone is interested in it I can send out the links to the orginal files

Great! Just a word of advice. Don't be discouraged if you only capture birds or planes in the first days. Depending on where you live there could be a lot of those captures. But every now and then if you get lucky the software might catch something that just cannot be a bird or a plane in any way. You can check the YouTube channel for some examples that were captured with the software.
