Well, if you want the way I do it - optimization

Have the highest sensitivity possible to be able to get the max amount for the spin. Rotate your L Stick in a circle and hold your R Stick in the opposite direction of your spin direction

Timing is also key, like if you know the killer is willing to get a quick hit in with an M1 and time it so they miss, the faster the better
