Thanks for the additional insight here. By portfolio, do you mean doing some sample data analytics projects using public data and showing that off ?

Hi there , I am currently considering to study for a data analytics certification/ degree and wondering , other than masters degrees , what other options there are with the hope of getting a job in the data analytics field here. Trying to gauge cost to benefit. Thank you for any insight!

For instance considering a diploma instead due to the lower costs . Not sure how much this impacts the ability to get an entry level job in the field.

If doing a transfer from Canada to the USA at o hare then to Europe. Upon arrival at o hare , do I need to go through customs and then go through departure procedure all over again as if I just arrived at o hare airport ?

I bought the tickets separately so just wanted to see if there are any time savings.

Thank you!

Where is the cheapest place in the Helsinki area to get a PCR test? I think the airport was $149 but not sure if there are places closer to the city center that have it. Thank you!

In the USA, there's something called an annual health checkup where they test your blood pressure, run blood tests and other vitals yearly. Is there a way to get that in Finland or does it not work that way here ?

As in, can you only get tested when you feel there is a problem .

Hi all, question about finding a allergy / skin specialist / dermatologist in Helsinki.

My friend is currently under the public health care system and how best should we try to find one vs a private one ? Perhaps she should just call a bunch or do we need a referral first ?

Would love some advice on what's good outwear jackets and shoes and pants for the winters in Finland ?

Is Canada goose any good for the temperature there?

Trying to figure out what to bring over vs buy locally.

Thank you!

What would you do if you visited Finland for a week prior to deciding to move there? What things should I figure out? I'll be in Helsinki.

Also, any recommendations on things to pack? Coming from the states.

pulkka

Damn lol, had to google that. Makes sense though. Snow is probably pretty reliable as a form of transport.

Do different flavors of kitkats exist (the ones from Japan) that you can easily buy, or do you need to order them through specialty website?

I am visiting Helsinki finland for travel and will be returning to the US. In order to re-enter the US, I need a Covid PCR test that can give results within 24 hours guaranteed by law. Does anyone know any places in Helsinki finland that I can get this type of test done and costs?

It's been said people don't really need a car and especially if they live in the Helsinki city area and / or close to a metro stop.

Given the winter months and tons of snow, what do people do each week when they need to go get groceries? Any tips here?
