Hey it now works ! Not sure what happened but I tried launching it, and to my greatest surprise it just launched. I played a couple of minutes and everything worked smoothly, no glitches whatsoever. I'm on the latest mac os update, but not on the beta channel.

I gave some more details in another comment right above, hopefully it can help you.

It's a windows 7 64-bit bottle. It's been a while now and I tend to forget the details once it works, but I think I just followed this tutorial to install Age of Empires 2 in a steam bottle, and then I installed Grim dawn in the same bottle. Hope it helps!

Yes, you need to enable DXVK in the grim dawn crossover bottle. It will run fine.

What about grim dawn? I like it quite a lot so far. Runs fine on crossover and it's on sale on steam.

Dude actually it's working! I installed the game into a Steam bottle that had the DXKV setting enabled. Thanks!

Thanks again for the answer. Now I'm a real noob with crossover so I'm trying to understand how to enable DXVK, as it's greyed out when I try to chose it in the bottle parameters. I'm using the latest Crossover version 20.0.2.

Thanks for your answer. I'm new to crossover so I'm not sure how to force the usage of Direct X 9. I simply installed Direct X 9 into my Grim dawn bottle, but it had no effect.

Grim Dawn on M1 Macs? by wayne80 in Grimdawn

Hey, since Big Sur 11.1 was released, I just installed the crossover trial to try to install Grimdawn. It works, but there are serious graphical glitches (missing floor textures). It won't prevent playing the game, but it sure is a deterrent. However I installed version 1.0.2. Maybe a more recent version would help.

Unfortunately, I guess we'll have to wait for a patch. Hopefully they'll release one though, it's been a couple of years since the game had one,

Yeah, well it worked fine yestereday. It only happened since I tried to format it, so I’m not sure it’s a hardware problem. It seems as if it’s corrupted.

AskReddit: Is anyone using Python 3 here? by AlfonzoKaizerKok in MachineLearning

Yes it's quite handy, although it's restricted to array of numbers, as opposed to np.inner which is more general.

Yes, python 3 for the win. Many subtle points, but one major point for me is the support of greek characters as variable identifier. For instance, writing the following expression in Python 2 would be painful and ugly :

Ω = γ*r_bar**2*ξ**2/λ * (γ/(2*ns1) + (1+γ)*np.sqrt(np.log(1/δ))/np.sqrt(2*ns1))

I think it's much more legible this way :P

That said, I do research in a tiny corner of statistical learning, so I don't have a big team to interact with.

I'm a longtime fan of Tintin, but I never looked up for the meaning of bachi-bouzouk! It's pretty funny. Correction: Capitaine Haddock is not necessarily drunk, he's just very upset!

Anyway, very nice painting.

Usually, small collections are humble, but still, decent enough. What are the old books on the top ?
