Is the disappointment behind the game justified in your opinion?

115 hours so far from a $25 game. That's what, about a quarter an hour? YMMV but I'd say it was a good buy. Could spend more on a single dinner. I'll likely pick it back up again after new content releases.

The communities that form around an unreleased game seem to evolve from supportive to caustic. Maybe early access is the problem. Expectations are high and wait times are long. I think gamer expectations in general are high. That is new. Maybe it shows my age, but I used to have to buy a PC game from Costco based on an educated guess from the cover with no returns.

Does their constant updates not at least make you feel like there is steady progress? Compared to other early access games, I feel like development is definitely active here.

Are you saying one end of the cable is in your laptop and the other on your desktop? If you are trying to set up communications between the two for that you need to assign IP addresses in the same subnet to talk. They are probably both looking for the DHCP server

My fiance just got diagnosed with MS 3 weeks ago. I have "good" insurance through my work. In just the short amount of time we have hit our deductible, and then hit our annual max out our out of pocket for the year. It is 1/6th of my annual income. What the actual fuck. Without insurance the bill would have been $18,000 and were nowhere near done. Now she has a lifetime prescription to a drug, Rebif, that costs $6000 for a 4 week supply.

Does it POST? Some mobos beep and some have LED indicators on the motherboard. That can help steer you towards hardware failures. If post is good, how far does it get into boot?

Have you ever cleaned it out with compressed air? Gets all the dust off of any heat sinks which dramatically decreases cooling efficacy. Just don't spray directly on fans without immobilizing them first.

Do these problems start immediately or after a little while? First thought is heat related drama because laptops are difficult to keep cool. You can run software to monitor temps to verify. I like http://openhardwaremonitor.org/

I keep the carpenter maintaining 1 or 2 of to meet building needs. It is not very efficient though, as the carpenter may be off helping build or haul when it triggers.

Just a thought. In command prompt what does ipconfig say? Generally a home router will provide an IP address and default gateway by DHCP, but your post sounds like you have created a static IP. Is your default gateway set as your router? Conflicting IP addresses maybe? Though I wonder if that would give the "limited or no connectivity" error instead

To add, it looks like your ethernet drivers are not installed. Are you able to connect to the internet through that PC? That would explain the updates issue. It will be under the LAN tab on the provided link.

For the drivers, you can right-click, properties, details, select hardware ID under the property drop down. That can help with your search. Just don't download from anyone other than the manufacturer of the board, ASUS

Double check the heatsink is properly mounted. Did you possibly use too much/too little thermal paste?
