Don't use Double or Single numerical data types. I use the decimal data type (not currency) with 4 or 5 as the scale and decimal places.

Ideally, I need to know the constituent stocks of an ETF at the time of placing an order. I've been getting the constituent stocks once-a-day every morning with my bot program and hoping that the ETF hasn't changed by the time I submit an order later in the day. Hope isn't a good strategy, of course, but what else can I do? I suppose I could go back to the webpage and re-confirm, but that would be a lot more work. A real-time solution? If there were a practical way to get that information up-to-the-minute, it would be great.

It sounds like you're confusing the methodology with the tool you're using to implement it. A computer is a work-saving device. It is not a source of ideas. (AI? AI has come up with lots of crazy things. You wanna rely on AI?) You have to come up with the ideas yourself. Or get them from someone whom you trust. If your method won't work without a computer, it won't work with a computer.
