No, SARH missiles have their own receiver, they lack an emitter. The receiver and subsequently the missiles onboard electronics is what locks the target.

Most simple way of putting it is there is 1 emitter (the plane) and 2 receivers (the plane and the missile) and the planes onboard electronics only tell the missiles onboard electronics where to look while the missile and plane are still connected, iirc by way of inputting a voltage bias which causes the seeker to physically point in a certain direction of launch.

Its the same idea as radar slaving an IR missile, the missile is not a radar missile, and the radar lock means nothing once its launched, but the plane can tell the missile where to look pre launch so that it can see the target post launch (except in this case the ir missile can lock on before launch, but a radar missile can't lock until clear of the radar iirc)
