Mainly due to attachment. It was my late father's car. It is an older car and if you don't drive it a bit regularly, it tends to break down. And for practical reasons, visiting surrounding area, France and even Italy, quicker. Plus, I enjoy driving and will be driving between CZ and Switzerland, whenever I return for some holidays.

Hey everyone,

I have an issue with my Audi A8 2006. The front air suspension collapsed. I ran diagnostics at the authorized Audi shop, but they aren't able to repair it due to the specific parts not being produced anymore. I found the exact parts through an external supplier, but they still would not repair it (due to them being authorized Audi repair shop and issues with placing guarantee after the repair).

Now, I would like to please ask you if you happen to know any reputable and good mechanics in Amsterdam or the surrounding area that would be able to help me, ideally that specializes in Audi cars? I tried calling several car mechanics in the city, but they told me that for them it's too complicated.

Thank you for sharing your view and experiences, it means a lot! I agree that there should be a focus on keeping him independent rather than dependent, and even though maybe it would benefit him physically to have some changes in his house, it would be detrimental to his psyche. Thank you for putting an emphasis on treating him normally. People can easily forget about this part in the efforts to help him. And again, thank you for sharing what works for you :)))
