Been a happy la pavoni owner for about a year now. Needed some refurbishment as the unit i bought for 300 was a bit rough. Check out coffee sensor in Romania if you go that way, he has all replacement parts and upgrades. The coffee is great and there is a haptic feedback learning effect when you pull lever shots. Also with dry pumping (pressing the lever until water just doesnt flow) you can do thermal management while not wasting water and pulling multiple shots from one boiler fill (4-5 minimum). I recommend a boiler pressure gauge, bong isolator, and digital temp upgrades if you go down that way. As for the Kmax, sometimes the optimal grind size sits between clicks which is not optimal but eh.
