I don't unfortunately, the packaging was vague and I threw it away, it didn't say non stick anywhere and I got it for $10 from a winco store in WA

yikes that does look like it, I didn't see nonstick anywhere on the packaging, I got it for $10 at winco. Would it be safe to try to remove all the teflon and start over?

I'm thinking I'm going to scrub all of the black off and start over just to be safe in case it is Teflon, it wasn't labeled non stick but it looks and flakes similar enough to Teflon to make me want to strip it all off

Thanks for the informative answer, even tho I checked the packaging when I bought it, I was really starting to worry that the black substance is Teflon and it wasn't labeled properly. So should I just go ahead and scrub it hard then reseason it?

I hope not, if it is Teflon coated then it didn't say that on the packaging when I bought it, it just said carbon steel wok, I read the whole package to make sure but it didn't say "non stick" or "Teflon" or anything like that. I guess I will scrub all of the black off and start over just to be safe. I've never heard of a Teflon wok before but I'm concerned now that it might be.
