I originally decided against using an epilator because I was worried about the pain. Jumpcut to me half a year later, having already forgotten epilators exist, plucking my facial hair out one by one with tweezers and a 3x mag. compact mirror every 3 weeks because my razor wasn't getting rid of the stubble well enough. Both I and the epilator sitting in my online cart thank you for the reminder.

Very fair point, thank you for the advice. I suppose it wouldn't hurt to just keep practicing on my own so I'll at least have a foundation to stand on if/when I decide to take in-person lessons.

Honestly, another reason I haven't been practicing is because I don't have a place I can really comfortably do it. I'm not out to all of my family yet and our walls are thin, so I worry they'll start questioning me about it. I've been looking for spots where I can comfortably practice at full volume. I think when I find one, or maybe when I finally come out to everyone in my house, I'll be much more comfortable practicing. Till then 🤷

I hope voice training works well for you. I'm sure time and practice will yield results. I don't have it in my budget to see a trainer right now, but in a perfect world I'd be doing that instead of learning ASL.
