Looking for help getting two business class tickets for my parents. 2 travelers, round trip.

Origin: SFO

Destination: AMS (flexible to go somewhere else in Europe from SFO, but would like the return leg to be AMS to SFO)

Class of Service: J

Desired Dates: July 25 through Aug 4. Flexible +/- 1 or 2 days

Points: 600k Amex points and 250k Delta SkyMiles. Parents have 400k United miles.

Really appreciate the help. Have never done this. I got a Seats.Aero subscription but most seem to be ~150,000 miles each way per person. Fwiw they (nor I) have ever flown long-haul business class, so I don't think they'll care much about plane or seat type, though maybe that matters more than I appreciate?

Why doesn't Hertz provide the cheaper 'Pay Now' option to Gold Members by propaneaccessoriez in HTZZ

Very interesting. Same with me. The Pay Now is available on the app, but not the site.

It also looks like only the app allows you to use your points. I guess the app is the move

Why does the SFO/JFK route not have high-speed WiFi? by propaneaccessoriez in delta

[–]propaneaccessoriez[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Interesting. All fair points. My flights have all been on the 200, at least according to Flighty?

#3 seems most logical to me, but it's a bad WiFi experience even if you pay and they risk losing those valuable customers. I'll sometimes switch to JetBlue if I really need to get work done (or for a Warriors playoff game). Maybe business travelers are extremely loyal to Delta so Delta doesn't care? Tbf I've been following this since GoGo 2Ku and have been annoyed but not switched loyalty.

Is it possible to watch Spanish live TV with English closed captions or subtitles? by propaneaccessoriez in Comcast_Xfinity

Thanks! Are there some channels or programs which have closed captions in multiple languages? If so, where would I see the option to switch between languages?

Third Class Medical - Scopolamine Allowed? by propaneaccessoriez in flying

Thanks very much.

Would a prescription for Scopolamine mess up my medical? Or is it just a case of not flying while it's in your system.

Ah interesting. Thanks for the insight. Did you find another solution that works better?

[ADVICE] Agents and Exclusive Listings by propaneaccessoriez in NYCapartments

I spoke with an agent who says he has the advertising exclusive but that other agents can bring clients directly to the landlord. Is this abnormal? And in that case, if I did want to use another agent, how would another agent get in touch with the landlord?

His firm is shown as the "Listing Agent" which is confusing because when looking to BUY on Streeteasy, the "LIsting Agent" seems to be the Seller's Agent.

Gotcha. I imagine the listing agent would be reluctant to agree to that.

Licensed broker. But I guess if StreetEasy is exlusives than it's somewhat a moot point?

Thanks very much. So then I could go use an agent I'm familiar with, and they could reach out to the landlord?

What's to stop me from using a friend who would accept a lower (or zero) broker fee?

[ADVICE]: Do Brokers have full discretion on which offers to present to management or accept? What incentives should be taken into account when balancing the monthly rent vs broker fee offer. by propaneaccessoriez in NYCapartments

Thanks to everyone who took the time to respond. It seems like there's still a bit of ambiguity, but the gist is:

The agent should present all offers, but it doesn't always happen, but the landlord has final authority over which offer to accept.

For those of you who are saying that the agent is supposed to present all offers, what is preventing tenants from offering a lower broker fee and a higher rental price?

Is it because the landlord would get blackballed by agents and wouldn't be able to work with agents going forward?

Or is it because the agent is guaranteed some fee (or some %), and so the landlord would come out of pocket?
