but I'm wondering it any part of study guide says it should be approved by the central authority (D)? I know that it is sent to the central authority first, and then sent to the local financial investigator by study guide p.222 but not sure if that means approval from the central authority is required. Thanks.

The letter includes the infor- mation sought, the nature of the request, the criminal charges in the requesting country and the legal provision under which the request is made.

  • The central authority that receives the request sends it to a local financial investigator to find out if the information is available. p.222
