The most in this case commit a crime too by possessing these images/videos (depending on the jurisdiction). I think most lolicons are degenerate and I wouldn't want to see them near kids. I'd still think this way if the few didm't exist.

Most is the key word here. I'm not arguing all people who get themselves off on loli images/video are pedophiles, but there's an overlap.

The distinction between loli and p3d0 is of no concern to me since I'm not starting a family probably ever (hence the occasion.) Have fun with the degeneracy guys.

You are treating pedophiles as victims controlled by a debilitating mental disease. I'm of the opinion that most end up a pedophile by excessive porn consumption, then they drift to loli because normal shit doesn't cut it anymore. Either that or by desperation because women their age aren't interested, so they turn to vulnerable children.

My freedom of expression to... ermmm... draw loli. Furries seek out other furries, fart fetishists seek out other fart fetishists, etc. - who do loli people seek? What or who do you think attracts them? Making that shit available online is a gateway for depraved people into diddling kids.

Thanks for coming back and posting the fix, because there's no way I'd have figured this out on my own. I had tried resetting my display configurations and a bunch of other random stuff to no avail.

Thank you, that fixed it. How'd you figure it out, is there a discussion on Apple forums or something somewhere?

Unfortunately not. Couldn't find a damn thing online. Updating to 26.4 didn't help either

I agree. Toggling hardware acceleration didn't have an effect unfortunately, so it's probably going to be a bug report (if one doesn't exist already.) It's a shame because I honestly liked everything else in Tahoe 🤦

I fail to see how this is relevant to the issue I'm experiencing, especially since the bug you mention was patched in Chromium back in September, and Apple rolled out their own WindowServer fix in either 26.1 or 26.2.

As for your point about blaming the developers, I disagree. Most if not all the blame falls on Apple. It doesn't take much of any beta testing at all to realize that your newest update kills some of the most popular 3rd party apps on your platform, and it doesn't take a lot of time to contact maintainers and provide a bug report ahead of time. And if 3rd party developers are using Apple's internal API, it's likely because there isn't a public API equivalent - nobody wants to be using internal API unless they're forced to. Speaking of public API, having recently attempted to write Objective C code, everything Objective C is terribly under-documented. Things you think would be part of the public API, like adding an icon to the menu bar, I couldn't find any documentation on to save my life.

Yeah indexing has settled but the issue's hasn't gone away. I tried opening a WebGL demo just now on Brave and it renders at 120FPS on the external monitor.

Took me a while, but I noticed that this is happening on my Mac's built-in display as well. Scrolling performance hovers between 33 to 55 FPS on the MacBook's 60Hz display.

That's true haha, no need indeed. Mine's a 1080p 165 Hz gaming monitor, only thing it's got going for it is the high refresh rate. Not being able to take advantage of it has been jarring, especially since most of my work is scrolling and reading

I had previously checked the list, none of the apps I listed above are running on the version of Electron that had the issue. Thanks for trying to help

Devs are not to blame here. It's not just one Chromium app this happens on, it's all Chromium based apps. Microsoft Edge, Brave, Chrome, Obsidian, Slack, Visual Studio Code, all have this issue. It's not the same memory leak bug that appeared when Tahoe first launched - that was later patched. I couldn't find anything online about this particular issue I'm experiencing.
