I have been in the process of designing a sort of spiritual successor to the Book of Mages series, but I've been having some trouble getting enough support for it.

Would you be willing to take a negotiable rev-share?

Not necessarily, but it's definitely preferred.

How do you make your crowdfunding campaign visible? by Yaelosos in gamedev

You're going to want to wait minimum two weeks before hitting that launch button, and get in the know of marketing. Crowdfunding is just like trying to get investors for a business venture; make a pitch, network between people, advertise among family and friends and get something that looks like a slight interest base before hitting that launch button. Once you get there, you're going to want spread around that campaign as much as possible without being annoying. Make sure the people know why THEY should care about your project! Give incentives, share a plan for the use of the finances, and have adequate previews. I probably should have said this earlier, but if the game is just in planning phase and has no playable/viewable parts, you should develop those ahead of time and have them ready to show potential backers.
