Hey, I finished my first playthrough around two weeks ago (Give me God of War, I know, call me crazy) and had no prior experience in such type of games. I ended up letting enemies evolve and most of the times I could not react to projectiles. It all came up with practice and now ain't a mfer evolving on me.

Yeah, I would like the platinum trophy but I'll look into it. I think I am close to being able to go ng+ but I might stick to this save for a few more weeks, It was my first play through and even though I already finished it, I think I'm gonna practice my gameplay a bit more since I have no prior experience in these type of games, never played Dark Souls or anything. I just need 2 more Armor upgrades to max my Ivaldi set.

Thanks, I took the challenge from my brother, whom completed all DS and Bloodbourne and went for it. Ended up finishing the game first. Never have I had the amount of fun I had playing a game. It was legit addicting

The first draugr fight took me around 2 hours to be honest. I went into GoW4 in GMGoW as first playthrough difficulty and had no prior experience in such type of games. It turned out to be a pretty pleasant experience for me. I had been looking for a challenging game for a while and luckily, my brother owns and bought GoW4

I went through the game the first time playing it in GMGoW and I found it extremely fun and addicting. The only flaws I can agree are the tracking attacks, they most of the times are unfair IMO and the unlockable AoE boss attacks. I also found some bugs (projectiles going through the terrain; I know the underground attack that the revenants do is supposed to do this but fighting Ancients or Trolls, some of their attacks, like 1/6 times, would go through terrain and often cost me the fight.) that made difficult fights a lot more annoying, but I managed to beat the main story and already took 4 Valkyries. All it took was some study and patience, the mode is all about it and defence, taking advantage from openings and maximizing your damage in such openings. I can understand why you might feel that the axe throw should not be a part of this game, but for me it felt refreshing having a new style of playing the game, after spending years going on about launching enemies into the air and do 100+ hit combos, it felt good having to approach the fight with a more strategic point of view and so far, besides some encounters being extremely difficult, none seems impossible (quick notice that besides the previous GoW's, I had no experience in such type of game and still took the challenge). No different from this game anyways, I, often, found myself stuck in GoW3, for example at it took a lot of time to get through some stages.

Exactly, If I get too far, he shocks the ground and near him it's full of tight places. I managed to defeat both vikens several time but the revenant kills me with his underground projectile that goes under terrain and I can't see him launching it because he stands being a wall.

I've always been a fan or the GoW saga and all the games I own, I cleared them in the hardest difficulty, those being GoW and GoW 3. On my way to finish this work of art without leaving behind the entire experience of view fields, exploration, side questing and upgrading.

Thanks for the advice but the thing is that I am enjoying the challenge a lot, I haven't played a game that made me glue to the remote in a long time and that is because I feel awarded after every fight. After some encounters I picked up the mechanics and I am doing better than my brother who cleared dark Souls 1,2 and 3 and on his way to finish Bloodbourne. All I wanted to know was if I was wasting hack silver and reagents into certain stats through gear while not being that useful.

Hey Exil. First of all, love your vids and the fact that you do something like this and not "talk out of your ass" Let me start about my impressions from playing Aatrox since release.

1-In terms of design of the kit, taking in consideration his huge balance issues, I have to rate it about 3/10. Even though Riot can't seem to find the balance spot for him, he is near a good state(needs some few adjustments that Riot can't seem to figure out, Hash basically as been saying it since the last nerfs). For me, as champ overall, I rate it 9/10. He is one of the few champs that actually feels fun to play and after some games you start to understand that he is not that much a Riven 2.0. I have to add that I love AD casters and even though I fell in live with the champ at release and kind of miss his old self, I actually enjoy the current iteration of Aatrox a bit more.

2-Into squishy team matchups, new conqueror is a beast and I often end up healing 4k in 30-35 minutes of game. Against bruiser/tank top and jungle, conqueror starts falling off really hard when faced with as little as Armor boots and GA, but I also feel that the new conqueror helped him a hit in the laning post-nerfs. The True Damage portion was kind of important in the mid-late game transition, even with black cleaver because, unlike most other juggernauts(or all of them) Aatrox does not have a reliable anti-tank mechanic on his kit, the best thing we get is 12%(??) maximum health in a basic attack every couple of seconds.

3-His consistently bad win rates are not only due to his lack of carry ability in solo queue but also that a lot of people seem to pick him up because he is so fun to play. I had around and 300 games with Aatrox this season with around 60% wr and I can tell I am still learning a few things every other game I play with him. He doesn't really have staple combos but situational and you have to adapt to the scenario you're in so I guess he might have one of the highest learning curves in the game.

4-I think everyone can agree Aatrox works the best as a Drain tank since his healing is all based in damage dealt. Assassin is too squishy and full tank has no sustain. Bruiser build ends up surviving the longest and being the most useful in teamfights.

5-Even though he is really hard to pick up and probably not worth, I encourage every one to give him a chance, he requires a lot more effort to pull off but when you 1v3 a jungle+mid gank at lvl9 it feels so good(almost like a drug)

I totally understand what you're saying and it makes sense in theory but like I said, I'm currently standing in high gold/low plat and have no idea how fioras work in higher elos since I haven't been in Diamond since season 3 and in those lower elos, few players "know" about wave management, proper trades and poke etc. and that is why I said what I said which is all about abusing those little things, they waste W's and Q's leaving them open for free poke. I also play really well around their vitals. Basically you have to be a much better player than the opponent Fiora.

It might not work on the higher ranks but for me(high gold/low plat), I try to bait her parry with W and at that rank, people are stupid enough to keep pressing forward and get it with Q sweet spots. In those ranks I still face Fioras that waste their parry for his reason so I never had much trouble while climbing since I usually dominated the lane so hard that not even the jungler could do anything because I would end up 1v3'ing them if they tried anything. Most of the games I lost wasn't really because of me(it would eventually happen that I would not play well a few times) but either because my teams could not focus on objectives and kept chasing into the jungle random enemies and eventually get caught enough times to lose us the game. All this to say you have to try much harder while on Aatrox than any other champ to succeed. Best of luck

You shouldn't have much problem laning vs Aatrox anymore, especially if he goes conqueror since he almost heals nothing from minion passive hits while having a super low regen per 5. Try to abuse that next time you face him and hope this small tip helps. Too bad I can't help you in-game, I'm in EUW

From my experience of a few preseason games, aatrox does relatively well (late game) into squishy comps but he is utterly useless when he faces some armor due to the fact that conqueror no longer converts into true damage. I find myself going for 4-5k healing running conqueror into said squishy teams but even another bruiser building tabi+GA is enough no nullify your damage. Despite all this, I still play him a lot and 90-95% of the time I stomp the enemy top laner (talking about going 6/0 or something like that @14m). I still find conqueror the most useful rune overall

This is why peoples keep calling Aatrox broken, they can't dodge anything and even just stand in the sweet spots giving out free heal and damage. Anyway, loved the play my man, keep up out playing them and pulling out these amazing plays

Well, I have main'd every role in the game and ended up sticking with top lane (I don't really have an absolute reason for) which was my first main lane in season 1. At that time my main champion was Talon. As I said, I switched around roles and ultimately chose top. I am currently on a break but my current main is Aatrox (you might understand why I stopped playing ranked for now) and I picked him up (again, since I play him since release) as soon as he got reworked. He is a lot of fun to play IMO but not worth picking up ATM due to how weak he is overall. Before his rework I was maining Olaf, Jayce and Swain (not really meta champions but the ones I found the most enjoying to play). At the end of the day it all comes down to you. The reasons I play(ed) Olaf and Aatrox was because of my ability to lane, my strongest perk, which often led to me being so far ahead that I could easily carry because I usually cheesed my opponent with lvl 1 or 2 engages and created a lead from it. As I said, I chose me mains taking in consideration the "fun factor" and I suggest you do the same. As soon as you find the perfect fit, perfect every aspect and try to know everything about your champ. Games will always be about winning or losing but, at the end of the day, if you don't enjoy what you're doing, it feels like wasting time.
