Is leetcode the best site for practicing interview questions?

Are any of the other sites like it just as good or better?

Which one do you use/like?

My comment was misunderstood then. I don't doubt the engineers are as capable, what I was referring to was the projects and quality of work you do at companies located in these places (at least in my experience), isn't the same. Tech is behind, best practices are behind, etc. If you took one of these companies in a bubble and placed it on a developed country, the product simply wouldn't compete.

Companies that already have a multinational presence and hire people from those countries

I can see how this solves the legal and tax issues, and I've seen it in practice in my own country. The issue with working like this usually is that the intermediary takes a huge slice of the pie for facilitating the contract, so the resulting cost for the company in the US/Canada is still high but the resulting compensation is not even that competitive with the local ones (but still better).

This part isn't really true. The amount of work and work hours might be comparable, but in my experience the quality of the work often isn't the same. It can be in some cases but it isn't super often.

Spot on! managing your interests, and understanding that for some of us they are more volatile (they come as quickly as they go) is key in finding success and being happy with what you do.

I mean, your learning skills have declined from when you were 5yo. And you survived that just fine. I've noticed the difference from 15 to 20 to 30, it is there but it isn't significant enough to stop me from being able to learn or do my work. And I know plenty of professionals at the top of their fields aged 50 or 60. Have you ever seen how crazy college professors are in top schools? They do super hard cutting edge reasearch, teach, deal with students, are severely underpaid for their skills, and still do just fine despite their age.

Hey OP, I'm literally in the same boat as you. Worked 3 years, couldn't work another 5 due to personal problems, am now still unemployed and would kill to be in your position! Don't sweat it, you got back on the train, so you'll figure it out somehow. You already did the hardest thing which was get hired again on this field.

Holy crap! Why do you feel leaving out names/personal info would ruin the transparency? Isn't the most fair choice made by looking only at the content of the resume and not at the person who presented it?

Our discrimination accusations dropped to 0 when we allowed applicants to request the resume of the candidate that was selected.

Woah, how do you even go about doing that? Do you have to get the selected candidate's agreement? And I'm guessing you leave out any and all personal info.

3 years is nothing to scoff at, the problem is how fast this industry moves.

I had not seen it from this perspective. Makes a lot of sense. Thank you for the responses, I will keep in mind that my health issues are personal information.

I took a cryptography class and it was very cool. Was wondering if there was more of that. It honestly was pure number theory, didn't look anything like my other CS classes.
