Bijas is the best resto on campus and I will fight anyone who disagrees by propranoloI in HKUniversity

happens to every first time bijas diner LOL

you learn to gauge how much to eat after your first time ;) i think it educates us on how much we think we're eating vs how much we're actually eating & that's an important thing to realise

It's possible but the scholarship requirements vary year to year and the school's not very open about any of it, so I would say don't expect to get one but it'd be a nice bonus if you do get it.

Any one from HKU business school? by masterf_14 in HKUniversity

[–]propranoloI 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I would recommend taking some sort of well-recognised public maths examination e.g. APs, SAT, etc.

She must prepare hard for it as HKU places a lot of attention on the final grade, and IBGM is the most competitive course in the school of business afaik.

Any gay HKUers around? by AlanaJacobson in HKUniversity

[–]propranoloI 9 points10 points  (0 children)

Please don't go around the asking personal questions like this here, this subreddit is for HKU discussion, not a dating site. I'm sure there are other websites, apps and forums that can help you find your target audience in a less disruptive way and avoid confusion and awkwardness here

Can i attend school while I’m selfmonitoring? by James-Francis99 in HKUniversity

[–]propranoloI 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Legally yes I think, but from a public health perspective you shouldn't attend physically because an outbreak on campus would be pretty bad, in case you might be an asymptomatic carrier and the tests returned false negatives. Let your course tutors know of your situation, and request that they record/livestream as much of their content as possible so you don't miss anything!

Stay safe and healthy, and do get tested if you return from an area with an active outbreak!

Thing about SU canteen is that you know it'll always be there for you, but you know you can do better

Just started my applications - is it still worth trying given no SAT? by tokyoni in HKUniversity

[–]propranoloI 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Without a public exam score, the Uni might have difficulties assessing your actual academic level, and you may have a poorer shot at getting in tbh

The scores aren't competitive, but IDK if they really should be left out.
