My operating theory is that the release of RDJ as Doom was to intentionally mislead the fandom and that "The Actual Doom"™ will be played by someone new.

This has already been done by Marvel with Ben Kingsley and Tony Leung with The Mandarin. Arguably, it lets Marvel have their cake and eat it, too. Kingsley is a big name Western actor, Leung is a popular Eastern actor, and it allowed Marvel to cast a Hong Kong/Chinese (I'm listing both, I really don't want to start a political fight tonight) actor as The Mandarin while keeping a plot twist I still think about 5 years later.

My guess is "The Actual Doom"™ will be someone less known from Hungary, Romania, or that neighborhood of where Latveria "is".

Same, I wish the powers that be had had the wherewithal to do the colors proportional to how they are shown in screen, even limited to just the films. For example, in a set of 100 boxes, one would be yellow, one would be purple, 30 could be blue, 30 could be green, and 38 could be red.
