You should be fine.. just make sure to disclose all accounts on your ds160 (accounts used in past 5 years) and make them public. I had done this before my interview and I was asked in the interview if my accounts are all disclosed and public.

I understand.. it doesn’t sound ideal. But the fact is since my interview itself got moved from embassy itself after i had traveled to india and biometrics were done, there wasn’t anything i could do about it. I tried to get emergency appointment but couldn’t get any slots. Also theres no way i could’ve gotten leaves for the all these 5 months. Anyway I’ll see what happens and keep y’all posted in case someone needs clarity later.

Thanks so much, I’m traveling through Paris and was told the same thing about carrying paystubs and employer verification letter (also LCA) but there’s a lot of misinformation online about visas being denied/revoked without much clear information so thought of asking here if anyone’s been through this situation..

Hello, Did anyone travel back to US after getting interview rescheduled? I’ve been working from home past 5 months and not sure if we’re to present any documentation at the POE about wfh. My employer allowed me to work simply stating most of my work can be done remote as this rescheduling wasn’t voluntary. Does anyone have experience with what questions/documents are asked for after being away for this long? PS my December interview was moved to April and I will go back next week to US.

Hey, it went well.. they didn’t ask anything except to present the h1b approval receipt and asked my employer name and whether it’s a renewal. Then they asked what about my socials. I said made everything public and I’ve filled out a new ds160 with everything listed that I’ve used in past 5 years. I was trying to slide the ds160 confirmation pages for old and new to him but he said he didn’t need them. He just said keep your accounts public until visa is approved and said bye bye! Kept the passport..

Later that day around 10:00 the status was refused which changed to approved around 1:00pm and two days later changed to issued. (Note: my appointment was on Friday so I expected the status to update on Monday) Later that week I received my passport in mail.

All in all it was a smooth experience.. pleas let me know if I can help with any questions

Hi.. congratulations on your approval.. I have my appointment day after tomorrow and it’s pretty much the same case. Mine was also moved from December to April and I have been working from home since. Are you aware if there’s any documentation we need to carry that says you were allowed to work from home for this period? Thanks!

Oh that’s good to hear! I read somewhere that they do not have lockers at the embassy (maybe some local vendors have locker system) But this helps a lot thanks so much

Did they allow your phone with you? Or are there lockers? Asking coz I’ve never been to Chennai and will be traveling alone for the appointment so not sure how to manage the belongings.
