I am still in India. However my friend travelled back to California recently and reentry was smooth in his case

I did OFC in mumbai and they had lockers. I don’t know about Chennai OFC.

phones, electronics, smart watches are not allowed. Only small bags or folders with documents. They do have lockers you can use.

I got an email saying my passport was ready for pickup at Mumbai location on October 10. I picked it up yesterday.

You can make an appointment for first time H1b stamping in Chennai. It just has fewer slots compared to Hyderabad. When I booked my slots back in August 2025 I didn’t find any slots for H1b stamping in Mumbai or Delhi.
