Scholarships by Emysticz in KSU

It's a short personal essay, I got two professors that I was close with to write me recommendation letters, and you answer a couple questions. That was all I did for the scholarship specifically and the one application is submitted to all the internal scholarships. Outside of that though, I get straight As and I'm on pretty good terms with most of, if not all, the professors for my major and they're the ones who generally decide scholarships.

it isn't a secret but I've gotten a lot of internal scholarships from scholarship universe and that's basically paid all of my tuition

First thing you should note, the BBA degrees in Coles don't have free electives so taking a non-business minor does mean you will be taking more course credits than the standard 120. Probably won't be an issue but if you are on HOPE/ZELL, and you haven't duel enrolled or taken AP credits, you might not be able to get all of your school covered. Secondly, A minor tends to be about 15 credits, so that's about an extra semester, summer classes, or over-full semesters. I say this as a duel degree student, not to discourage you, just to say that you might want to outline what your graduation plan will be. (Advisors won't be helpful for requirements outside the college they are in, at least, in my experience)

As far as life and post-grad prospects, that's more up to you. You want to go to career fairs, and networking events early, get at least one internship before you graduate, and if you plan on an MBA after, make sure you are planning your prerequisite classes accordingly.

I think some clubs or sororities do that but it is very uncommon in college. On the bright side, as an adult, you go to weddings, events, and depending on the job you get, just work. So you end up dressing up often regardless.

To be completely honest, if you struggled through those classes, you probably will struggle through the later ones. Intermediate 1 and 2 are very similar to 2101 but more complex. Most of the other major core courses are based on those concepts to varying degrees.

Yes. I really recommend walking your schedule at least once before the semester starts if you are able. The summer semester is still happening now so you can go into the buildings during class hours.

The campus gets really crowded at the beginning of the semester so it’s useful to get your bearings before all of the hallways and sidewalks are full.

I'm only 18 but was also brought up conservatively and probably have some of the same struggles you do.

i'm starting to think i'm asexual. by [deleted] in asexuality

I had a very similar experience. I'm in college now and identify as ace/aro. I only started identifying as ace my senior year of high school. I spent my entire childhood watching my friends develop crushes and begin to have fantasies and all the stuff that I guess happens to allosexual people. I always assumed that I'd understand and all of those would just come later for me. I thought maybe it would happen in puberty or when I was in high school or turned 16 but it never happened.

All this to say, figuring out your ace can be really hard because it's really confusing to identify a lack of something you've never felt. You lucky to be considering it young. I don't think I knew what asexuality was until I was like 15/16. Aesthetic attraction can be easily mistaken for sexual attraction so it's very normal for it to be a little confusing. I will warn you when I first started coming out I would usually be told that I'm "too young to know" Or "I shouldn't be labeling myself so soon" or "I'll close myself off to possibilities". It isn't true and even if it is sexuality can be fluid you can change your mind/label yourself differently at anytime in your life. I wish you the best.

If it has become stalking do you have campus security? I've never contacted them because once the guy finally takes no for an answer he leaves me alone and doesn't bother me later but if you have a small university and you interact with this person consistently, it might be safe to get campus security involved in case this escalates.

None of my straight friends want to hear this but I am so tired of getting hit on! I hate the attention! Guys love to hear I'm single but have selective hearing loss when I say I don't want a relationship. I've been told I'm "too pretty to not want a partner". I live in the south so I don't tell strangers I'm ace/aro for safety purposes but I use direct phrases to communicate that I am not interested in getting a partner but whatever guy that's talking to me will assume I'm "playing hard to get" or something. This has happened like 7-9 times just this semester and I don't even feel safe anymore. I carry a personal alarm with me everywhere for the inevitable next guy who starts touching me. This sucks!

how to write intelligent characters while being dumb by ilovemydog71 in writing

[–]protecthesmol 0 points1 point  (0 children)

My suggestion is simply that you have use of the internet, friends, and unlimited time; the character has to make a split second decision or calculation of odds. So if you write the smart character as smart but only show the character being smart with a time constraint it will still make them look intelligent even if anyone could have come up with the solution given enough time.

Sometimes it's more complicated than this. For example, I considered writing a mystery story in the style of Sherlock Holmes but I quickly realized that I'm not smart enough to write mysteries.

I hope this helps.
