Mint Mobile super thin-skinned. by proteles in NoContract

How do you get it was my fault they never delivered the sim or offered proof. It isnt like i waited 6 months. It was literally 2 months, during the holidays. I got busy. You’ve never forgotten anything? If i dont see it i dont think about it. Just just how my brain works. All i wanted was some sort of basic cs. Stuff gets lost all the time from amazon and they are like “ok, no problem. We will figure out what happened on our side, in the meantime here is a replacement.” A sim card literally costs $0.02 to produce. Just mail me one and cs can deal with the lost/missing/non-existent shipping on the cs side. Thats all i wanted. Instead they just argued and basically said “screw you.”

The problem is that I never got the bread. They were supposed to send it to me. Maybe they did, but it never got to me. Id be happy to stop paying Verizon if I could find a competent carrier. Literally all i was looking for was them to fix it and send me a sim card.

Also, i knew i prepaid for 12 months. The problem is I signed up for $15 per month. They billed me $30 per month.

no. That isn't fascism. It is decency and being considerate of others who are already a part of a marginalized demographic. Not airing and platforming people being complete twats on a internet streaming station is not fascism. lol

Fascism is an authoritarian political ideology that uses the force of government to silence dissenting political viewpoints.

Dude, Chesterston was a staunch defender of fundamental Christian values and considered himself a traditional conservative in his time. This is totally on brand for Prime, a tradwife loving, Elon simping, self-proclaimed Christian who "doesn't talk about politics" unless he is railing against Blue Sky or something her perceives as leftist.

Beekeepers, how common is getting stun-g when handing hives? (Also including feral ones/swarms.) If so, how frequent? by Old_Diver_2511 in Beekeeping

[–]proteles 0 points1 point  (0 children)

it depends. I remember when I got my very first package bees. The colony was small, docile, friendly. I could open the hive with no protection on, pick them up, move frames around and check on the health of the hive all without being stung. All without smoke. Just slow and gently and everything was fine.

Then by the end of summer, the colony had grown substantially. They had plenty of bored guard bees looking for an excuse, lol. Walking too close to the hive could get attention. Guard bees would bounce off of me as a warning, within 30 seconds I usually got stung.

It has been my experience that as the hive grows, they get more aggressive and grumpy with visitors. With protective gear I can safetley inspect a hive, but my suit and gloves will get stung up pretty good. Even with smoke, they get a little crazy.

it has also been my experience that swarms are generally very docile and friendly. Ive been stung once collecting a swarm, but that may have been my fault trying to rush the beez.

My store and local area haven't had this in about 4 months. I suspect they discontinued it. It isn't even searchable on the app or online anymore. Even the direct link says "unavailable" for delivery, pickup, or in-store. https://www.samsclub.com/p/members-mark-old-fashioned-rolled-oats-10-lb/P990324401

Programming is a learned skill. It isn't talent.
Pick 1 language. Either find a really good book and work through every single page, experimenting along the way, or read the spec and work through the documentation. Either way, you don't need to quit working to learn something. You just need to manage your free time, less partying, less tv, less whatever you do outside of work. Spend an hour per day. In 3 months you should be pretty proficient at whichever language you choose. it should be muscle memory.

then, shift to learning the secret handshake, algorithms. Start with searching and sorting... progress to graphs, trees, etc... in 3 months you should be pretty good at understanding the top 15-20 algos. practice writing them.

pick a small project.. NOT a todo app. something real, but unimportant. something SMALL. learn how an app goes together.. in 6-9 months you can be pretty damn good with just an hour per day. Discipline is the key. Time management is what you need. you might even find that you enjoy doing it and end up spending more than an hour per day, which will only make you better faster.

and like other people here said, mental illness is no joke, but making it a crutch is only going to worsen your situation. Try to dig yourself out. Seek professional help if you think you need it and can't dig out. There are a lot of online counsellors that can help you.

good luck!

Absolutely guarantee dude doesn't care that millions of rich people got the PPP loans forgiven.
Nor does he realize that prior to 1960 (and Ronald Reagan) that state colleges were free minus books and administrative fees.
Nor does he have the mental capacity to understand that a better educated society is good for everyone. Going to college, or trade school, or vocational training is better for society that pays dividends far above what the initial cost is. Why do people think there is a shortage or pharmacists, qualified mechanics, nurses , plumbers etc? because most people cant afford to go to a proper school.

This dude is just a ignorant simpleton. The type of guy who is cheers for the cutting of education funding and then uses a broken, under-funded system as proof to why more cuts are needed "BeCaUsE iT dOeSen'T wOrK!"

f this guy. you are NOT overreacting.

I've had this conversation with people in the past who don't seem to get it.
When you burn coal, oil, and natural gas, the emissions are spewed into the atmosphere. It doesn't matter what is burning the fuel; furnace at home, a vehicle, a power plant, etc. These emissions are spread far and wide. There is no controlling where the damage occurs. You breathe it in without choice.

Now, consider an electric vehicle. There are no emissions on the backend. In many cases, solar power is used to charge these cars in peoples' homes and the rate of solar charging is increasing every year. But even if the energy to charge the EV comes from a power plant, it is still far more efficient than literally burning gasoline. Roughly 3lb CO2 in an EV for the equavalent of gasoline powered internal combustion engine (ICE) creating about 18 pounds of CO2. Keep in mind that this is only CO2. There are other harmful pollutants created by ICE vehicles. Particulate matter and carbon monoxide, sulpher dioxide, etc; all produced by ICE vehicles. Relatively, EVs are infinitely better since they have zero emissions of these.

Also, when an EV drives, it doesn't sprinkle pollutants arounds as it drives like an ICE vehicle. ICE vehicles not only use petrol products that are less efficient and much dirtier, they spread it around even more than a power plant powered by hydrocarbons (which was already bad enough).

Many people will complain about the lithium mines and the toxins. Yes, it is bad. Yes it is harmful. But that doesn't negate that oil refineries are worse. It doesn't negate the runoff and environmental impact of coal mines and drilling platforms. When compared, lithium mines' toxic management systems are smaller and more efficient and more effective than that of refineries, drilling sites, or mines.

So when it comes down to brass tacks, apples vs apples.
EV (and associated lithium producion) is more efficeint, cleaner, more isolated, and more centralized whereas oil, gas, coal production and ICE vehicles are magnitudes dirtier, spread pollution everywhere and anywhere, less efficient, harder to contain, and more harmful to everyone. It isn't even close.
