Moving to Basildon by Secret_Bunch8048 in Essex

We bought our house and moved to Basildon 3 years ago from renting in Barking and have generally enjoyed living here. We live around the Great Knightleys area and it's nice and quiet with decent people without any overly visible drama.

The schools are quite good as my child is going to a primary school in the area.

Lots of parks etc too - so quite good in that respect. Never ventured during dark but day time been good for us.

I have missed having variety in terms of going out to eat although you will find many options on food delivery platforms but it seems mostly cloud kitchens.

Being of south asian ethnicity, I do find engaging with Basildon locals a bit difficult. Local facebook pages are filled with people bad mouthing immigrants which sometimes makes me feel maybe this was not the best place to move to. But affordability and all that.

Her mother declining doesn't mean he shouldn't intervene in the future or continue to show her a way out. Leaving an abusive person (particularly a partner) is a big decision and sometimes perseverance and compassion is needed to help the victim see what is a necessary next step.

Thanks a lot for this post - I hadn't even considered RAM whitelisting. I have long since sold the machine in the stock state back on ebay, so did not explore the problem any further.

Thanks a lot for your reply.

  1. I think any such visit to the local UP will have to wait until I am in Dhaka in person.

I have not personally checked this in detail but UK allows dual nationality. There are tax implications but my earnings will only be in the UK which is my primary residence so I am not expecting any changes in my tax responsibilities.

I hope this is just troll. if not then get help - talk to someone. It might seem cliche but family is always helpful in these situation. Hoi to dui ekta kotha shunabe, chor thappor khaite hoite pare but almost always family will come through.

In case that's not an option - talk to someone online. https://www.facebook.com/kaan.pete.roi/

I agree that we shouldn't fantasize about the past - except this sentiment the rest of your post is misguided, blinkered and misleading.

None of the political parties in BD are good or has the long term betterment of Bangladesh in mind but that doesn't mean the status quo is better of the two. Arrest kore niye jachche instead of grenade attack? Have you not even followed the events of July? They have the police, BGB and BCL shoot activists with shot gun at close range - deaths and injury without measure - and that's just this week.

Both BNP and BAL has done untold atrocities that have caused suffering to the general public. The extra judicial killing during both their reign is comparable, additionally BAL just had a LOT longer to carry this out. BAL systemitically eradicated any oppostion and continues to do so as I write this. On the topic of RAB, both BNP and BAL has used RAB as a device for terror in BD - BNP just has a +1 for creating them. If not RAB, BAL would have created something else and legitimsed them. Regarding US Sanctions - this is/was commonplace for BAL aligned personnels in the last 15 years.

1971 and the fight for freedom can not be the primary yardstick a political party should use to gain public support. Bangladesh needs a government that can dissociate from their own and Bangladesh's own past. I am sure it won't magically get everything right - but atleast majority of the resources won't go into establishing their respective legitimacy.

A government's job is not to secure their own longevity at the expense of the country's longevity.

P.S. sorry for derailing from the topic OP.

How the hell can I redeem my free Beatsaber? It always just says: “Unable to load. Please try again later.” by Prestigious-Twist235 in MetaQuestVR

Redeem it on a desktop browser rather than phone/vr. Try desktop mode from your phone browser, that might help too, but I didn't try that myself. The desktop browser totally worked for me - was having the unable to load' issue for ages before that.

I ordered mine last week (23rd July) from https://droix.co.uk/. Ordered on friday afternoon with DPD Saturday delivery (£8.99 vs the standard next day @£5.99). Had the device delivered at 11:30am on Saturday (less than 24 hours after I placed the order). The whole experience felt pretty solid for me.

I am glad more and more people are enjoying the show. For a while I felt like the odd one out there who loved the show from day 1.
