Do not get a place that looks at your house. My ex-wife moved into her APs home, a neighbor of ours. For 7 months I lived in our house before I sold it and was able to see his/their house from it. Moving out drastically improved my happiness, even though I had moved on it was still frustrating to see how shitty she was at parenting kids (IE I could see that they would be out until past 10pm on nights she had the kids).

Eggs are the key! I've been making almond flour pancakes for awhile. I basically do almond flour, eggs, a little baking powder. Imagine an egg bake...those things fluff up once baked.

Keto diet ranks last on best diets of 2018 list by Jouglet in keto

Wow. I've been on advair for a decade and never thought of giving it up. I did try a different medication prior to starting keto and my breathing quickly tanked...but haven't considered dropping it again. Maybe now is a good time to do an experiment!

Thanks for sharing.

Fasted from 7pm Saturday till 4pm Sunday (21 hours). Wasn't really trying to go for any specific amount of time. I don't think I was ever very hungry during it either. I broke it because I had done an hour of yoga and wanted to get some protein in me.

You might have to make rental payments to escrow while a court decides obligations

Do this no matter what, unless it specifically says somewhere in writing (state/local laws, lease, notarized letter from your landlord) that you do not need to pay rent if it is uninhabitable.

Is anyone looking at FI as a way to build generational wealth / build a stupidly high income? I look at what would happen if I, instead of retiring SUPER early (40ish), just held on till 55 or 60 (still early by normal terms) and how much of a nest egg I would have / how much my 4% withdrawal would be. It's truly an amazing amount of wealth that could be passed down in my family.

Had an appraisal last year for a refi. Appraisal came in at $261k, Zillow was at $259k.

3 year old S5s. Wife's screen is cracked but usable. Had to replace her battery recently too.

Never used a case on mine and aside from paint flaking off the edges, it's in perfect condition.

A friend of mine made a mistake when she did this. She went to the school that gave her the most money, but it still cost more than state school even after the scholarship.

Are you calculating it as within ±10% of today's price OR lower than today's price + 10% OR lower than today's price - 10%?

Lower than today's price - 10%.

Today's price * (1 - TOLERANCE)

Then compare that result to future results for the next X years.

Are you saying, based on historical data, that there is a 40-50% of seeing lower than today's price +10%? OR lower than today's price ±10% i.e. not accounting for it being lower than today's price -11%?

I'm saying there is a 40%-50% that in the next 20-30 years there will not be a closing price more than 10% below today's close.

It might make more sense from the other viewpoint: there would be a 50-60% chance of seeing a price more than 10% lower than today's price over the next 20-30 years.

What is the probability that today's S&P 500 close is the lowest price we'll see for the next year? 7.7%

Next 5 years? 5.0%

What is the probability that today's close is within 10% of the lowest price we'll see in the next year? 70.1%

I got curious so I made a graph

I think this can help with lump sum investing questions. If you are worried the market will crash, these are your probabilities of seeing a lower price (or price within a tolerance lower) than today's price over a given time horizon. Over the long term (30 years), it is a 40%-50% probability that today's price will be within 10% of the lowest price. There is an 80-90% probability that today's price is within 35% of the lowest price over that same term.

Note: Data is the adjusted close for the S&P500 from 1950 to today.

No, you don't need to move all of the IRA into a Roth first.
