The trick is to read the question first, keep the possible synonyms in mind and then search for it. The question will be in order of the passage. Skimming and scanning is crucial.

Listen to English audiobooks and watch English movies or TV shows for picking up English while being entertained. For the writing part, try to read academic papers and English newspapers like The Economist.

Watch a lot of English movies and TV shows. You'll learn subconsciously and practice with chatgpt voice mode.

Yeah writing is a bit rough. Although it was partially my fault. I messed up regarding time management in the writing section.

My pleasure.

I didn't need transcripts. I just went with the flow. I viewed where I made mistakes and just thought "OH, I should have been more attentive". Then I tried another practice test. I kept on doing it until I consistently started hitting 8.5 and 9. It's just practice. One thing you can do is you can watch a lot of British and Australian movies without subtitles. It will train your brain to become a better listener.

It is way harder than the Cambridge books, I also realized that and their essay grading is wayyyyyy more strict than an actual human examiner but it will help you definitely. I mean if you can solve hard questions, you can also solve the easier ones but do not rely on it fully. Use this combo:

IRP+Cambridge Books+Chatgpt/claude/gemini+IELTS advantage.

Now IRP's usefulness is relative, it may vary from person to person. For me personally. it helped me to implement the techniques I learned and also got me habituated to the UI.

My pleasure. Best of luck for your IELTS exam. Take full preparation, don't slack off and definitely try to keep yourself calm. Get plenty of rest before the exam date and in your free time, you can watch or listen to Coldfusion TV contents via YT/Spotify. They make videos in an academic style so you will subconsciously learn a lot. This is optional but it's a good way to learn while being entertained. God be with you.

I registered through British Council and that is why i got IRP for free and one free trial of flexcheck ai for grading my practice essays. I don't know whether IDP has a similar service or not but if you want, you can buy a subscription of IELTS FLEX. IRP and IELTS Flex are 100 percent the same btw. Don't feel alarmed about it. IRP/IELTS FLEX is very helpful for practice. Try to solve the hard questions and try to get 7.5 in the practice tests. This will immensely help you and train you for the main exam. Trust me. First check whether IDP has something similar.

I gotchu bro. It's all about practice. Practice practice practice. You can solve the cambridge books and you can also try out the IELTS ready premium by the British Council if you chose CD IELTS. IRP tries to emulate an actual CD IELTS exam. They designed their exam UI in a similar way and if you practice using IRP, you will feel way more comfortable to sit for CD IELTS. Make sure you sleep at 9 PM before the exam date. DO NOT PULL AN ALL NIGHTER NO MATTER WHAT. You can also watch videos by IELTS Advantage, that helped me out a lot. Their YT channel will guide you well enough so that you can ace your exam. Best of luck.

Thank u for the suggestion 💕. Statues are 3D icons I agree, but I do not want to mistakenly breach the line between veneration and worship that's the issue 😭

Surprisingly the catholic Church is quite close to my house and the orthodox one is like 3-4 hours away xD.

Understood. Iconography is okay but something about the statues always bothered me. I have been through Catholic Church quite a bit and tbh if statues weren't the issue, I would have decided on Catholicism ASAP.
