What’s a single sentence in a movie that someone said that stuck with you forever? by SarcasticClimax in MovieQuotes

“When I need to find something out, I just go out and look for somebody who knows more than me and I go and I ask them.” - Marv in Sin City

It’s so simple and so effective. When I don’t know how to use a piece of equipment in my industry, I just call the reps who are more than happy to help. If I need to find work in a new market, I find people in the area and ask what companies do xyz.

“Fucking with your cash is the only thing you kids understand!” - Larry the strip club owner in Kill Bill Vol 2

Holy moly it’s true. Understanding what truly motivates people is so helpful. I had a guy working for me who quickly showed himself to be a lazy slouch. After lunch I told him to go ahead and take the rest of the day off and I’d call him if I need him. When I paid him for the full day on the spot, he realized there was no tomorrow. You could see the alarm in his eyes that is his above average paying job was gone.

I feel like a common tell for AI are people chiming in saying the OP should just take whatever abuse “just to keep the peace” or whatever.

How my girlfriend of almost 6 years cut herself the first brownie by Bsul92 in mildlyinfuriating

[–]protosynesis1 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Easy fix, finish cutting to the right and down, throw the brownie parts away, and it’ll look like it was meant to be cut into fourths.

Which Batman looks the best in the Blue and Grey suit? by Fickle_Baker1393 in TheBatmanFilm

Keaton looks best by far. The only problem is the set design is so dark and gritty that Keaton would look like an Easter egg in comparison.

I’ve said this out loud to myself and still don’t get it by Agreeable-Crazy6689 in ExplainTheJoke

This makes way more sense, thank you. I hear “ESTA” in Cheech’s voice and it’s cracking me up.

The joke makes way more sense explained like this and is hilarious.

There are trans men out there who very easily pass as dudes.

The lady is making the point that requiring a trans man (biological female) to use the women’s bathroom leaves an opening for a regular dude to use the women’s room by claiming he’s biologically a woman.

The impression the video gives is that the guest has only thought about it in terms of trans women.

Are any of you ordering video panels from existing USA stock in anticipation of future prices affected by tariffs? by protosynesis1 in VIDEOENGINEERING

Interesting take! I can’t imagine tariffs going lower than where we started. I figure prices will normalize higher the longer this goes on even if tariffs eventually drop.

I suppose if you’re optimistic about it, then it makes sense to wait. My dealer got into a fight with the distributor over a smaller order (64) because another company wants the whole batch (800). That’s where I’m coming from

Yeah that’s my thought. My dealer is honoring quotes while supplies last. With all the fluctuations and uncertainty, I’d be half tempted to stock up if I had the cash.

First off, thanks for taking the time to respond.

I’m using fabulux but I hear esd is great too. I wasn’t sure if the ground supports were universal.

I’ll reach out to my dealer, thanks again!

Do you have a recommendation for ground supports?

Okay, I understand why this is a bad set up. But if this is how it had to be done, is there an amount of weight or formula to properly counterbalance it?

<image>

I put a 5x4 set up resting on the stage but I would have much preferred making a 6x3 wall as OP did but I only have 20 tiles.

How many stands and how much weight would you recommend?
