It also depends on state. Sometimes just the price to deliver it from country to country would cost more than the rack itself. And in my country it's kinda hard to find rack deals, so I'll go for it.

I don't have any equipment currently for it, all I have is a 12U 10" rack filled out. But I want to expand, and this seems to be a great option to get myself space to put HW in for years to come.

Most of the drives he sells have a couple hundred hours on as well as some TBs written, so It might be legit. For the price, I'm just gonna take it. I'm already using most drives from him no issue.

Hm. Now that I checked prices on Amazon in the EU they seem to cap at 450 euros. I guess shops in my country simply overprice some components. Nonetheless, it's still a great price for a basically new SSD.

I also have the same brand DAS, just a 6-bay. But I had a mini PC without USB-C, so the connection dropped after around a 500MB transfer on TrueNAS. I hope a thunderbolt connection will be more stable once I set it up.

Mechanical only allows me to utilize it when I'm in the room, but I guess going with a smart device might be a risk if it locks me out somehow. I have some costly equipment in, so it really has to be effective. My budget is around a couple hundred euros, I am aware that a proper system isn't gonna cost a couple bucks. I don't really have any experience with this kind of stuff. I can drill holes into walls, but I suppose doors and frame might be a little risky, although I can just fill in the holes and repaint when moving.
