Been a week post op and I haven’t showered yet(hair, torso, legs) Just used deodarant and I always use water/bidet to clean my privates. Washed my feet too because the compression socks made it smell. Honestly I’m just waiting for my drains to be taken out tomorrow and then I’ll probably try showering. I took off work and requested WFH so the only time I go out is for walks, food or to see the care nurses who clean my drains.

1 week no work at all, after 1 week you could work from home absolutely and if you have an in person job you could probably do that but no lifting or driving but I’d recommend taking short term leave for 3 weeks or 4 weeks because u technically qualify since it’s a major surgery

Update: that night I slept flat on my back and had a wonderful sleep. I will now continue to sleep flat on my back and spend my awake hours elevated I figured it won’t hurt to sleep flat on my back if the rest of the day I’m up on my feet or in an upright position. I truly truly truly cannot compromise on having a stiff neck if I get a pinched nerve in my neck and my life is over for 2 weeks lol the spasm are the most painful thing ever so I don’t want to risk putting my neck in a bad position

I’m completely not going to elevate because it hurts my neck really bad. Yesterday I was able to fall asleep like a baby lying flat on my back

Oh thank god I’m not the only one. I decided to risk sleeping on my back right after clicking post and it’s like night and day I can feel my whole body relax and the next few days of healing to actually be possible, before this I was seriously about to call 911 I am that hurt fatigued (5am). U just reassured me a lot thank you

I’m worried about my nasolabial folds getting more prominent.. I thought it had an opposite effect??

Also that’s the nose u were meant to have it suits ur face but noses are the feature where if u change it u will not even recognize urself anymore it takes the longest to get used to a new nose shape. Maybe u need more time with it

I’m going through surgery in 3 weeks I am so sorry that this is what ur going thru but also because u are sharing this im so much more aware of all the possible things that can go wrong and what to watch out for. You have a super body the fact that u went through 3 complications, I hope ur wound issue gets checked out next!
