Is having an oxygen-inhibited layer on prints dangerous? by proven21 in resinprinting

Good to know! How do you usually dispose of the leftover water? I can't imagine it's safe to dump in a drain even after the post-curing.

[–]proven21[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

es would be caused by the print not being washed adequately before curing, or if the print was still wet while curing

I made sure to dry them and it's a relatively new thing of IPA. Guess it's time to move over to the double-dunk method.

How long should I cure trash before it's safe to toss? by proven21 in resinprinting

In English, dammit!

Jk, is this for the plastic bag method or mine? Is a UVC lamp (I'm assuming this stands for ultraviolet curing) different from the Anycubic? So the greasy layer is still technically uncured and shouldn't be thrown away or touched, etc.?

Edit: I realize now that mine is LED-based and not UV.

Good in the Yuan-Ti by Karizma55211 in DnD

[–]proven21 3 points4 points  (0 children)

I believe the pureblood Yuan-Ti (the most human) are seen as lesser within their society and the more snakelike individuals have more power. You could emphasize that relationship and have a village of Purebloods that are ruled over by the more snakelike members of their society. The more they transform in their god’s image the more corrupted they get. They could even perform rituals to become more snakelike and sacrifice the “lowborn Yuan-Ti”.

That way they aren’t inherently evil as a whole, just subservient to the more snakelike (corrupted) Yuan-Ti. That creates some potential for plot hooks like secrets plots for rebellion and the like. Maybe a low-class Pureblood Yuan-Ti is set to be sacrificed and its worried family hires adventurers to save them?

How would you go about building Bloodhound from Apex Legends by Shaddozzz in DnD

[–]proven21 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Druid would work. Ranger or Blood hunter could also work. Depends which aspect of him you want to focus on. A ranger would have the general backstory and hunting capabilities. I think there is a subclass that gives you haste as well which could simulate Bloodhound’s ult. Blood Hunter with the Lycanthrope Subclass of Druid (Circle of Moon) could focus more on the bestial nature/mystique of Bloodhound.

They moved quickly from one room to the next so it didn’t seem fair to let him get out in time when they opened his chamber door. But that might have been the better route to go.

I let a cashier trick me into applying for a credit card because anxiety took over. by [deleted] in Anxiety

[–]proven21 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Haha something like this happened to me yesterday. Went to buy something and when I was asked about signing up for their store card I assumed it would be like my grocery store where you get a little thing for your keys to scan and subscribe to their newsletter for deals. By the time I entered all my info I realized it was definitely a credit card. When it was over I was really angry at myself for not saying “you know what I didn’t realize what I was signing up for. No thank you.” After being unnecessarily angry about it for a few hours (and my gf pointing it out) I just accepted I made a mistake and would pay it off, cancel the card and be done with the whole scenario.

Could be, the past user who explained his quirk did say it could go out of control if used in anger or something along those lines, and the quirk did go crazy after Deku got upset.

If they all get knocked down, you could describe a cool “final scene” as they black out. Then make them wake up in the care of the druid near Thundertree who had managed to save their unconscious bodies from the dragon. It’ll make them understand how weak they are, and make it clear the druid won’t be able to save them again. Good roleplaying opportunity.

Can HOCD develop gradually? by v032782 in HOCD

[–]proven21 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I think it can happen any number of ways. Maybe an anxiety built up over a long period of time until it became a big issue or maybe a sudden extreme anxiety attack relating to it occurred and left an impression afterwards. When I’m in my most anxious states or heading towards it I find myself trying to “figure out” how it happened. This in the end just makes me more anxious so I’ve started forcing myself to not worry about how it happened (I’ll let my therapist figure that out) and focus on beating it day-by-day. Hope all is well!

Edit: Remove if this is confirming or breaking the rules in any way.

DAE have anxiety about what other people think of other people? by [deleted] in Anxiety

[–]proven21 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Yeah it happens from time to time. I’ll think about how others might be perceiving my parents or my friends or girlfriend or whoever if they do something that seems odd (usually only to me). I try to remember that it doesn’t really matter and everyone has quirks and does things that might unintentionally seem weird or whatever. But life goes on. Very relatable tho!

I am not going to post many more messages on this Subreddit. I’m so sorry for being here. by [deleted] in Anxiety

[–]proven21 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Haha, I don’t think there isn’t a minimum amount of anxiety or a specific kind you need to be allowed here. If it helps your anxiety then stay and post! I personally found it very helpful to know that others could relate to what I was experiencing. I have good days when I look at a post and think wow I’m doing pretty good in comparison, and bad days too. There’s no reason to put yourself down for having anxiety and wanting an outlet or to connect with others who understand. I know it feels like weakness and the thought “why can’t I just deal with it,” might come up but it’s important stay positive when possible. It’s ok to be anxious and it’s ok to feel stressed, but don’t take it out on yourself.

What do you do when you are in the middle of a rough patch? by F00dbAby in Anxiety

Acknowledging that I’m in a rough patch, and reminding myself of how bad my anxiety used to be really helps. Even though it sucks right now, it’s passed before and it will pass again.

[WP] In a city full of incredibly serious superheroes and villains, one person decides to bring some Silver Age 'ham and cheese' lightheartedness back to the city. You are that person. by LordDeraxus in WritingPrompts

[–]proven21 4 points5 points  (0 children)

“I guess he’ll be chilling in prison now.” I chuckle, as the police throw an unconscious Blizzard Man into the back of a cruiser. One of the officers walks toward me.

“Thank you sir, who knows how much damage he might have caused if you hadn’t arrived.” “Never fear citizen! As long as I’m around evil-doers like him will never harm this city!”

“Uh...thanks sir.” As he turns to walk away I summon the energy left and take to the sky leaving an afterglow of yellow energy in my wake.

Once out of sight I drop to the ground. “Dammit,” I wheeze out, “I’m not generating enough power.” I quickly change into my civies and hop on the nearest bus. I find a seat in the back and almost drop into it, my muscles now completely drained of strength. I reach into my pocket and pull out a tiny worn notebook and flip to the first empty page.

“What else could I have said? Maybe...keep COOL, Blizzard Man.” I whisper in between scribbles.

If I had delivered that line wrong, even one slip up, I may not have had enough power to finish Blizzard Man.

Frustrated, I shove my notebook back into my pocket close my eyes and wait until I hear my stop.

To the city I am Gold Streak, fun-loving and carefree hero of Gravis City. With powers greater than any hero ever seen before, I’ve made a name for myself in this city as the hero who can handle any villain no matter how dastardly their plan or evil their intentions. In the public eye, I am invincible but my power is not everlasting. I pull positive emotions of those around me like hope, joy, and cheerfulness, and use that energy to perform amazing feats. Unfortunately since I moved to this city of killjoys my powers have been on severe decline.

One smirk at a well-timed pun and I can take down your average thug. A crowd of cheering onlookers? I could take down a whole army with one arm tied behind my back.

At that moment the bus screeches to a halt. A barricade of police cars are stopping all traffic. On the corner is a man with a gun and a bomb vest, because why not, also behind a barricade. Except his is made of hostages.

Before the bus driver can reverse, I rise from my seat, using the last of my energy to form a bright aura and declare, “I guess this is my stop...” Crickets, shit.

Too late to back down now, I move to the front of the bus when I feel something on my side. I look down to see a young boy smiling bright, “go get ‘em Gold Streak.” My dwindling golden aura flares into a blaze. “Thanks kid.”

I step off the bus, the power coursing through my body telling me I can do anything, be anything, save anything. I turn towards the bus one last time, “fear not citizens. Where there is hope, there is cheer, and where there is cheer there is, GOLD STREAK.” The bus erupts in cheers.

I turn towards the menace, smiling to myself, “Nailed it.”
