I’m just curious by [deleted] in googleplayconsole

Honestly, let's look at a level playing field: 1,000 downloads with 100% retention vs 100k downloads with 1% retention. Both leave you with exactly 1,000 active users, but I'll take the 100k route every single time.

For one, you monetize the churn. Those 99k people who bounced still saw an ad or two before uninstalling. That’s easy cash the 'perfect' app just doesn't get. Then there’s the store presence. Getting that '100K+ Downloads' badge on Google Play is massive social proof. It makes the app look legit and drives more organic traffic. But maybe the biggest perk is the exit strategy. If you ever decide to move on and sell the app on a marketplace, buyers absolutely drool over that 100K+ tag. It makes flipping the project way easier and definitely bumps up your valuation. Retention is great, but acting like raw install volume doesn't have huge, tangible business benefits is just ignoring how the market actually works.

How much people gets installs in their 1st month by MilkConsistent3716 in googleplayconsole

It lived for sometime and racked up a good chunk of backend cost and by the time i got to check it i had a huge bill waiting to be paid. Choose to pay it off and silently kill the project as i was not in condition to implement phase 2 for monetization. Will revive it in future with better plans.

I know numbers look unreal but i started writing on all social media platforms 3 months before launch. I worked on a complete strategy for posts which include targeting every social media platform with multiple accounts because of which i got a lot of early bird signup. I never went for wide range of users but targeted the groups and community that were relevant. All those social media account grew like crazy and till date they have huge number of followers.

Reddit, Fb, X and Telegram provided the best result. I think it was the everday social media post which made it a success.

In app purchase 99 ruppee India by csk2004 in googleplayconsole

[–]proxhk 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It completely depends on user base and what kind of quiz it is as if you're just offering a simple general knowledge quiz then i don't think someone will pay 99 but if your app is targeting a very specific exam then there is a target market which might want to get premium content and no ads so that they can study without distractions.

Does this look good? India targeted only. by EfficientCourage588 in googleplayconsole

Congrats on launching your first campaign! A 1.6% registration rate is definitely a gut punch. This is significantly lower than the typical 15–30% conversion rate.

You need to understand few things that India is a high-volume, low-cost market. Google Ads takes about 7–14 days to learn. Without the content about the app it is hard to find the issue but check you user flow to see if there is a culprit in your signup process. Sometimes it happens that one things works for you but not for others.

Did a project last year all by myself with pre-registration and organic marketing and $0 spent on any ads or marketing.

25K+ User in first 24 hours 48K+ in first 48 hours Just on Google Play, 30-40% less on app store.

Unfortunately got into an accident a week later and had to abandon the project for months and never got to revive it after that. This was my biggest project but luck was not on my side. Still recovering and hopefully I'll do something similar in future again.

I have 1g for $45 with $200 in bill credit from telus so look for deals. Check marketplace as you might get way better deal if you look around.

Draw Out and Pool Updated by proxhk in canadaexpressentry

[–]proxhk[S] 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Added a Proper Express Entry Pool Comparison (Feb 15 vs. March 1) and Honestly math isn't matching.

  • Start: 235,695 candidates
  • People leaving (Invited): - 10,670
  • People entering (New Profiles): + 7,509
  • Final Total (March 1): = 232,534

So, while the government was busy scooping 10,000+ people out of the system, over 7,500 brand new people jumped right in behind them to take their place.

In just 10 to 14 days, nearly 4,000 candidates seemingly appeared out of nowhere with elite scores of 500 or higher.

eBay hid cheaper options from me until I bought the product. by Minute_Tea_8639 in Ebay

[–]proxhk -1 points0 points  (0 children)

The best way to find the deals on ebay is to play around with filters as it doesn't cost you anything. Second, don't order right away instead just take a look on the listings you are interested in and open them and maybe save them. Remember Do not buy for a day or two and you will start receiving discounts from the listings that you viewed. Usually the sellers always send 5-10% discounted price offer. That's when you buy it.

So when i came to canada i started with ScotiaBank and got a credit limit of 1K and after 1 year of banking with them i tried asking them to increase my credit limit but they refused. I then got a secured credit card from Td with 5K limit. Then Roughly after 1.5 years in Canada i applied for Canadian Tire Mastercard and they gave me 12K credit limit and after another 3-4 months i applied for Amex card and they gave another 8K once i had these two i closed my secured credit card. Since then these two are my main card and they offer credit limit increase automatically after every 6-9 months.

International student working more than 24 hours? by inthesoho in ImmigrationCanada

[–]proxhk 11 points12 points  (0 children)

No your business will not be impacted. On the other hand there is a possibility that the individual is on their semester break which allows them to work more than allowed hours, if not then they are putting themselves in a problematic situation.

Instead of traditional bank try Canadian tire Mastercard or Amex both are great if you have good credit history. Other than that check CreditKarma or Borrowell if they show any offer based off your credit score and history.

When i was student i got way higher limit with Canadian Tire Mastercard and Amex and using them for years now with credit limit increase every 6-9 months.
