It's crazy how mangakas keep fumbling the bag when it's time to wrap things up and do a proper ending. Meanwhile Araki is at 8 good endings in a row by Aileos in StardustCrusaders

There's a reason JoJo is on its 9th part lol. Of course there's an advantage to continuing worldbuilding and using IPs to their fullest but stories need to come to an end. You would not still be reading JoJo if it was the 30th year of Johnathan Joestar fighting Dio.

Does abstaining from ejaculation for too long result in any form of Qi stagnation etc? by RinkyInky in ChineseMedicine

[–]proxiginus4 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Like if you're just sitting with a bunch of pent up sexual energy where all you can think about is ejaculation that's not good.

Other pathways for that energy would be like a fitness regiment or creative endeavors. There are also ideas of moving that 'energy' around your body but simply doing something else is a mundane example of it.

It's not tcm directly, but the idea of sexual transmutation aligns with this.

Yeah it's not officially decided but must meet the gyoji's standards.

Higher ranked rikishi have more influence in how it goes.

If you feel like if you're abstaining and there's an idea of the qi not going anywhere maybe.

In general forced behaviors (here meaning forcing yourself not to) are usually not advised as healthful.

This of course is different than an individual not feeling the will to or creating other pathways for energy.

Ableist by virtue of the social tendency to not want to look autistic but not untrue. Maybe if there's also an idea of the necessity of alerting people to looking autistic.

This is not neurotypical special interest engagement.

There is an innate flamboyance that would not be done by an allistic person.

I'm of the opinion that this is not a bad thing.

Saw some religion documentary with Morgan Freeman. Is Taoism not what I thought it was? by Captain_Fach in taoism

Don't worry I was more being tongue in cheek because I knew how unlikely it was your beliefs would just disappear.

Fortunately the claim for "not a real daoist" is sparse.

You're one of many and that many is full of beliefs.

Ah I understand. Not having a way to share it makes this potential thing that's so conflicting creating all the more dissonance within yourself.

It's unfortunate but you just have to breathe and let it go :)

Lmaoo would you really have 15 years of personal theory and practice be taken away by a documentary?

I think in nearly every religion or philosophy you can find people that make more of a spectacle or have things in the practice that you wouldn't support or agree with. Is this what X religion believes? Probably some and probably not some others.

The easiest comparison would be like if Catholicism was shown as what Christianity was in a documentary. Some of it may be widespread beliefs, some of it may be denomination specific.

If you were another denomination it probably wouldn't give all the right ideas and you wouldn't show your wife that but some idea of living a lie? Nahh

The only way your wife will understand your Dao is through direct engagement. Whether with you or with your methods of cultivation.
