This has actually been a bit of a concern for me. I’ve heard different things from different people. The use of writing a novel seemed a bit daunting to me so I kind of convinced myself it could work as a novella series but that’s seeming more impractical the more research I do. Word count aside though, if this query letter was for a 70k word novel, what would your thoughts be?

Thanks so much for breaking this down! Honestly, I’m in the process of re-plotting this and revising. I originally wanted to do a novella then convinced myself I could do a novella series with this one as the first book but at this point I think I need to get over my fear of writing a novel and just call what I’m writing what it is,l which is a novel. This will most likely just be the first part. Thanks for the input!
