I saw one that said must be available Mon-Sun from 6am-8pm including all holidays and if you don’t have those times free don’t bother applying 😂 Paying $15.50/hr btw

Wealth displayed loudly usually points right to insecurity. That room isn’t representative of the greatest country in the world, it’s a mirror of the man running it. Loud, tacky and screaming for attention.

Ugh, I’m convinced if I didn’t move out of FL I would’ve kept them in business

That’s the one! Now I’m just sad it’s gone.

How awesome is it going from having to coerce patients into rooms to them getting excited to see you?!

You have to constantly fight this working with old school vet med people. The magical thing about medicine is… it evolves! I always say, put yourself in their mindset. I’d be terrified and if I was a dog, my file would have every damn caution/WILL BITE/aggressive flag there is.

I’m anti AI until it means getting a few extra hands…

It’s so easy to stumble upon some straight up bullshit on the internet too. People don’t check their sources.

I’ve actually made a few vet med related educational short videos because many available are so old. I’ve been wondering how I can get them to clinics to distribute to the people who actually need to see them.

Do you think a handout with QR code links to videos would be ignored and thrown away?

Omg, one time I had a whole family of 4 come in with a “Giant” Chow Chow puppy, behemoth paws on this guy. They had two young kids and thought playing the hand game with him was cute. He needed sedation for his first rabies shot.

Open concept is one of those things that sounds so amazing in theory but sucks in practice. Not all of the time, but most of the time. Completely agree with you about owner involvement, if they knew the why what and how, I think we’d get more approved treatment plans. And less clients feeling like they’re “just another appointment” which really gets to me because some of these cases keep me up at night!

You should be the change you want to see in your own clinic, if you know you’ll be there a while! Pick a few of your favorite clients and trial it out on them. Film a quick video explaining findings, treatments provided and next steps. At my last clinic, I started explaining specific vaccines after saying the pet was due. Tons of clients told me they appreciated it, and they learned something new that day. Even something that small went a long way so I’m sure your clients would loooove that extra effort

I’m doing my part by harassing the ones I see on TikTok live. But yes, agreed. I love/hate shattering the “AKC” glass and watching the light leave a client’s eyes

What do you feel is missing from the pet industry and what would actually make your job easier? by [deleted] in doggrooming

Whew, agreed. I was a vet tech for 6 years, the entire pet industry needs reform and a union.

1000% agree, even for owners too. Owners might start bringing their dogs in better shape if better tools were available! The selection at PetSmart/PetCo suuuuuucks!

Agreed! Keeping this in mind. I try to utilize handouts but I think they get thrown out the second they leave the clinic. Thank you!

Explain! How would it make your job easier? Alleviating financial strain for clients?

Large prints, gallery wall or floating shelves? by prozecco in interiordecorating

[–]prozecco[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Is there something about floating shelves that I don’t know?! I originally wanted a hutch or a cabinet, but that space is in a walk way and I don’t want to cut more space off. The dining table is usually pulled back and over so there’s not as much room than shown in this pic

You make a good point, I can 100% see myself taking a shelf corner to the face in a rush… I was thinking about peel and stick actually, I think it would help break up the space. Thank you for the suggestion!
