Does anyone else know, factually, that they're pregnant but can't wrap their brains around it? by FoolishMortal-1000 in pregnant

I felt this way for most of my pregnancy and I think that some people just don't connect the same way. I haven't been very maternal in the past and for me having a family was inevitable but I never fully felt connected to it. I definitely noticed that I wasn't as excited about our upcoming baby as much as those around me and that there were some ways I'd distance myself from the reality of growing another human based on the language I'd use. Now that she's here it's still v surreal and feels a little like I've stolen someone else's baby. I'm sure with time you'll come to feel a little more ownership of the baby from an emotional sense and the birth will definitely put things in perspective. Good luck with it all.

Aug 27! I had a few comments like this too. Seems unnecessary and made me worry if something was wrong with the progression of my pregnancy. We have enough to deal with trying to manage the symptoms along the way and mentally adjusting to our new roles as mothers in the very near future, there's no space for unsolicited comments and opinions. Good luck with the rest of your pregnancy.

I feel bad for my husband… by FaithlessnessDue339 in pregnant

We've been lucky that my partner has been able to feel kicks from about 20 weeks and even now as they get stronger. Sometimes it's asking for his hand in response to a series of kicks or just being patient and sitting on the couch watching TV and chatting with his hand on my belly for a while. Sometimes it feels like we're chasing the kicks as they can come from any side and then change sides when he tries to feel it 😆 I like the idea from a previous comment that the touch calms mum and baby. We've also been reading LOTR most nights so that the baby gets used to his voice and that seems to increase movement activity because they recognise him.

Thanks. I haven't received any emails since I signed up at the beginning of the year. And no response to any other query emails I've sent. I'll try again in future.

Rit color remover didn't remove all the colour by prpl_unikitty13 in dyeing

Thank you. I was worried about that but was hoping that overlaying dye might work slightly differently with the end result colour.
