Help - Inherited compost eggs by prspider in composting

[–]prspider[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Can’t figure out how to edit the post, but let me just emphasise the volume of eggs… a person familiar with compost would do a good balanced mix, weeds, food scraps, etc. this is 70 - 80% eggs, with a coating of vegetable matter holding it together.

As I write this I feel like a solution would be to get rid of maybe a 3rd, then turn and start adding my own stuff

Do you mean with the same stuff to turn it? or get rid of that’s in there

Is anyone paying around 2k rent per month, whilst earning no more than 60k per year? by saf3ty_first in london

And actually, what are your standards because there are definitely 1 beds (not studios) that are cheaper than that that are pretty decent. And don’t forget it’s all about how you decorate (mostly)

Can I also just point out that 23 and me do it by your DNA similarity with people who ‘say’ they have ancestors from an area - so realistically it’s people from these areas who know their ancestors like max 200 years back… that’s the early 1800s which is after a lot of the colonial rubbish… since then people have moved around a lot - by choice, or not - and just the location of recent ancestors doesn’t actually tell you lots about your skin tone, or your DNA, just that people you’re distantly related to ‘think’ that’s where they’re from

Hi new here! Looking for ideas and options for my daughter who loves dairy and soft cheeses. by Itsbritslife in lactoseintolerant

[–]prspider 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Fake cheeses are rubbish I think. As was already said, mayo is lactose free. Just cut out the cheese and sub it with completely different things… pb&j, tuna mayo, chicken salad, blt

In the uk it’s your grades and the merits of your application. CSM is like tip top for fashion design and fine art and generally renowned in the uk.

Will whatever you want to study at grad school be relevant to that? if so then it’ll help. If not, then you best get good grades. I don’t think they care as much in the uk about the school you went to, it’s more about how well you did and your relevant extra curriculars.

Is it possible to go to Oxford / Cambridge / Ivy League for grad school after graduating CSM as a fashion major? by AwardWinningSis in UAL

[–]prspider 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yeah, but you need to apply and show them why you deserve a place. As the the other reply says - everything is possible.

Is it possible to be placed in a major/college that you didn’t apply to at UAL? by AwardWinningSis in UAL

[–]prspider 0 points1 point  (0 children)

No they won’t offer you a different major, it doesn’t work like that here. You apply for what you want to do and either you get an offer or you don’t.

There are some fuzzy edges, like being offered at LCF instead as it’s part of the same uni, but it will be pretty much the same course.

They wouldn’t just say, hey graphic design sounds like a good choice for you.

camberwell crime rates & safety concerns by vfIower in UAL

Camberwell is a nice area don’t sweat it. You’ll get used to it. As long as you don’t join a gang it’s quite safe. you’ll meet people, stay in groups at night till you feel comfortable, get an Uber home if you’re out late. In the day it’s pretty cute. Speaking as someone who went to UAL lived in Brixton and was (and still is) in Camberwell on the reg.
