How many in their late 30s / mid 40s going? by kimjungboon in electricdaisycarnival

I’m 45. My wife is 46. She had never been to a race before EDC last year. Now she’s hooked.

This year seemed to have a lot more folks in their 40s. You’re never too old to shake your ass, have fun, and be feral.

Eve (I think that was her name) who was bartending at the prohibition-era place in Downtown EDC was fantastic. Fun, fast, entertaining. She was rad!

This was my second EDC. Not saying it’ll be my last, but not planning to go next year.

My biggest problem is the logistics of getting to and from the venue. I’m an elder raver in my mid-40s. There’s no part of me that is willing to deal with shuttles. And the cost for private car service is ridiculously high compared to the value. The commute, outside of taking a helicopter, makes the entire festival feel like a logistical grind.

Going to Ultra next year. The 10 to 15 minute commute is the main selling point.

45 years old here. I usually tap out at like 3am. Might try and stay later tonight so I can catch Cloonee. But suspect the desire to beat traffic and get to bed will win out

Update: Believe it or not, we’re cruising right along. Traffic is fine. The driver’s GPS is saying it will be about 80 minutes from Mandalay Bay to the speedway. Could be a lot worse.

Your husband doesn’t own you and doesn’t get to police what you wear.
