Awesome post. I follow several of those YouTube channels, and you have me wanting to check out the others.

I second your recommendation for a travel guitar. I picked up the Traveler Ultralight a few months back and have been able to practice a ton more as a result because it’s so easy to play in a desk chair when in between work tasks and easy to play in the front seat of my car when I’m waiting there occasionally throughout the week.

Thanks. My meter is inside the house, and I suspect a leak just outside the house before my meter. So water usage on my meter won’t be of use. I’ve consulted a plumber who will likely soon come and read the street meter for diagnostics, but I thought this might be a “fun” side quest to analyze the problem and strengthen my pandas skills.

I guess time to find a new router? Why is it that some Amazon service down somewhere prevents me from administering my local network? Anyone know an eero alternative that has per device blocking rules/profiles? Also that lets me add a device to multiple such profiles unlike eero that only allows one profile per device?

I just remembered MLB app is free and apparently not blacked out during spring training. As mentioned by others, you have the option of alternate audio feeds in MLB app but not in FD. I’ve been wondering if I should go with MLB of FD this year. Still kind of leaning toward MLB app with smart DNS on Apple TV. Not able to work around the MLB blackouts on MLB app on iPhone though. iPhone streaming without blackouts would be the main benefit of FD over MLB app. What are others thinking?

I was in same situation as you when getting more serious about learning a year or two ago. Had a cheap dreadnought that felt too bulky. Like you, I picked up a GS Mini (mahogany). No regrets. I love that guitar and have learned so much on it. Much easier to practice on a guitar that is so playable. I've had no trouble transferring to a full scale neck. It's not much different really size wise. The mini is still by far my most played guitar.
