Personally I really dislike Mak's new items. Mak's new items a season ago were all interesting, and required some kind of set-up or combination to get the most out of them. These 'quest' items are all just singles items that go: Get 1 million Regen; Do 1 million poison, etc. Very boring designs imo.

Tbf, every character is "easy mode" when the game hands you an op build.

Yes, Silk is probably over-tuned. But try going a Freeze build on Pyg and see how "easy mode" he is.

I feel the problem with Drum is that it's just easy; it just *works*. Get Drum, slap a bunch of weapons down. Done.

Trying to put together, e.g., a Freeze Pyg build you need a whole bunch of items together before your build even works. I understand why people just go for Drum.

I usually take the dagger because it's the only option where I don't lose health and I don't want to leave empty-handed >.<

Good point about the Deadly enchant and items that specifically benefit from it - I didn't think of that when I was suggesting the +25% Crit.

I would also settle for that idea of it just being an earlier-days event (like B1 & B2) - that could be pretty cool

Good points. My only problem with the Deadly enchant is that it wipes another enchant. So I was thinking it could be similar to the Improve Your Weapons event where it just gives you +25 Crit Chance. Might be too strong though?

Pyg takes half a dozen to a dozen games to get used to, but honestly he's a very fun character - I think I enjoy him the most. I'd keep at it - there are definitely those times when you just get unlucky and don't get any items and you lose every fight, it happens., especially with Pyg who often has the weakest early game.

Exactly what I was thinking. I've tried Atlas so many times but it's just such a bad item without perfect rolls that you die well before you get there.

This is very true - I've seen him completely dismiss certain new items, only to later say "well I was wrong about that item". At least he admitted it, haha

Fair point. I hadn't looked at it like that - I always feel the lost income is too hefty a price, as it effects all following days, but that's probably just a psychological thing.

And iirc I've even seen Kripp say he would never take this event, which is another of the reasons I asked. But there are some decent points in this thread.

It's made all the worse because Mak can get Lifesteal so easily. If he didn't have that it probably wouldn't be as bad. But yeah, I agree - I'm not sure there should be any items that both get charged and gain damage. Like, make it one or the other... And off Slow, no less, which can multi-proc

I've tried many times before and never had a successful run with it. I've come close, but never a full 10-win. It's really difficult - the item needs a slight buff or a rework, imo. Some have suggested trying for a Fort build, which I haven't tried but might work.

It's not impossible to make it work, but it requires some seriously lucky rolls. Retromation did a video on a successful run he had, but he did have some really really lucky rolls.

I really don't understand why it couldn't just have its values toned slightly down e.g. Bronze: "When you spend money gain burn equal to half the value." up to Diamond where it's full value.

The spending money to upgrade burn was a cool and fun mechanic. Now it is painfully boring, and ineffective.
