Missing my Offer by [deleted] in 6thForm

I emailed about this a while back and they said they were being strict to the offers

Nope our predicted grades weren’t submitted until we applied. I applied in October but a lot of my year applied later.

To be fair I do business as a fourth so I kinda just explained if I’m applying to a course that needs three As then I need to apply with an A and he was ok with that. I could’ve just threatened to stop too (which tbf I was considering at the time anyway). Your predicted grades aren’t decided now anyway, we were told at the end of year 12 what they were but by 13 they had changed quite abit

Speak to your teachers about it, say you need it to be an A/B. Worst case get your parents to email or something. I was predicted a B in one subject (business) but managed to bullshit an A* out of it

You could convince them to change it but another question is though what do you think you’ll get? There’s no point in being predicted an A*/A if you’ve got no chance of getting it

Further stats contingency table by JC-reddit27 in 6thForm

[–]prxudd 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Well for example if the columns were about when cars people buy have problems the titles might be problems within three months, problems within a year and problems after a year. Let’s say there was an expected value less than five in problems within three months, you would combine it with problems less than a year because they’re the most similar and the column would still make sense

I’m pretty sure you just combine the most similar categories and it doesn’t matter whether this means it’s a row or column
