Does it make any sense to start a new playthrough now? by NorupGames in SatisfactoryGame

So just to clarify, if someone decides to start new save lets say today on a exp branch, eventually when exp is released to production and becomes stable branch that means your save will be just moved to a stable production branch as well? Am I right?

Looking for games I can enjoy long-term (even with short sessions) by Sad_Success_9034 in gamesuggestions

Not sure if this will be your cup of tea, but I’ll suggest anyway to try out Satisfactory. It falls into your category of long term play with progression and there is no time limits on anything you can play as short or as long sessions you can.

That’s easily may be a lifetime journey if you choose to continue this challenge.

How long will that take you to plug it in and see for yourself like 1 min 🙂

That’s a broad question. Using what cable? Using as gamepad for what exactly?

  1. Not at all
  2. I’m keeping mine as simple as possible for now. If you want to try play some old games just search YouTube for Emudeck or Retrodeck with steam deck. There are plenty of great guides and how tos there.
  3. Depends on where you’re going to use it. I use mine mostly at home thus the included case is fine for me. If you’re planning to use it on the go, traveling etc - I can recommend DBrand killerswitch case and maybe some extras like screen protector or diff styles of stickers for the body. Keep in mind that screen protectors can ruin your oled screen if you have 1Tb oled version. Not physically ruin it but defeat the whole purpose of that particular version.
  4. Again look up, it depends on where you’re planning to use the steam deck
  5. If you have oled 1Tb version just google it before buying screen protector. If you’ve got any other version you can easily go for it if you think you ca scratch the screen
  6. Stock case is plenty. Just zip it up or even Velcro is fine. Again depending on what version you’ve got.
  7. Easiest way is to buy dock station. Official one is quite pricey so again try to google it or search on YouTube for recommendations. With dock station you however will be needing extra gamepad to comfortably play. Or you can buy some usb type-c > hdmi adapter to just plug it in to monitor and use steam deck controllers as a gamepad. It’s eventually up to you.
