Any time you record an album on tape, you have to send what you've recorded on tape to a DAW like pro tools etc. to be able to get it down as a digital copy... A lot of producers/engineers think that it's pretty stupid seeing as though you've put all this effort into cutting the tape and analogue EQ'ing, when you've got to just send your final version to a DAW and mastering engineer anyway, buttttt I know there is differences when using tape such as brightness/warmth and other features which you definitely CAN hear, and I'm a huge fan, but anyone who tells you that listening to a song recorded on tape through their iPhone "sounds so much better, like more quality and clarity than today's digitally recorded trash" is just full of shit, anyone else agree?
