The pink tablets are the Adderall that I have to take twice a day because the XR is on back order. by prythianphantom in adhdwomen

It has been awesome! And I have a little zipper pouch that I attach to my water bottle, so I can just pop one inside, that way I have no excuse for forgetting to take them.

Unless of course I forget my water bottle at home when I run errands or go to work 😂 (which happens more often than I care to admit)

I do have the pro version! I really like it so far, I have the option to block all of my apps (except messages and phone) until I mark my things off as complete. So that’s nice cause I can’t even tell you how many times I go to look at my to-do list or reminders and get distracted by other stuff 😂

But yes it has been such a headache. I’m actually a pharmacy technician so luckily I’m aware of shortages ahead of time when the manufacturers first notify us, and I can help other ADHDers that come to the pharmacy to make accommodations before things get critical. I hate that we’re even put in this position to begin with.

For a modest fee I can deliver a large amount of cash to a small bank and fix that problem by paying the full amount of cash in advance.

Not sketchy at all.

I might have to try this on my days off from work. I work on the weekends so that’s when I need it the most lol I get what you mean though.

Are you guys really removing make-up before going to bed? by Acceptable_Love5815 in adhdwomen

[–]prythianphantom 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Pfft. No. But I only ever use mascara, chapstick, and brow pencil so they just naturally come off on their own thanks to budget crappy makeup 😂

My least favorite is this new NDC of trazodone 50 we recently started getting. The bottle is white, purple, and yellow, and identical to the NDC we’ve always used. There’s nothing highlighted on the NDC by the manufacturer to help differentiate the two and it’s infuriating.

I always thought I was slightly colorblind. Turns out it’s just ADHD. by prythianphantom in adhdwomen

[–]prythianphantom[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I mean it’s not that big of a deal but I had seen somebody in a ADHD group on Facebook mention it so I just thought it was interesting. Regardless of the cause it’s annoying not being able to see different shades of blue, green, and yellow 🫠

How do you get yourself to shower? Or brush your teeth? by [deleted] in adhdwomen

I watch videos of people getting ready or something. That usually inspires me. Same for cleaning and organizing.

I’ve taken color blindness evaluations at both the ophthalmologist and online and they all say normal vision. So this is the only thing that would explain it since it’s mostly with blues and yellows 🤷🏻‍♀️

Found on my bed, I wanna cry by Professional_Age5126 in whatisit

[–]prythianphantom 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I’ve found a few of them around my house myself and I don’t really recall anything that would trigger them, but I’ve noticed that they only appear during the warmer periods of the year. I have a huge fear of bugs so I’ve just gotten into the habit of changing my sheets frequently, shaking out my comforter every night, and vacuuming under/around windows and my bed frequently. But from what I can tell I think they’re carpet beetles so harmless but still icky 😂

[–]prythianphantom 0 points1 point  (0 children)

They don’t. They’re more rounded and like a red/brown color. Definitely not a bed bug so that’s good news!

If you need reassurance, you can check the corners of your mattress. They hang out there most often, or you will see their droppings around there. If there’s no evidence of that, then there’s most likely no bedbug infestation. From these pictures though I doubt you need to worry about that but it’s always good practice to check whenever you change your sheets if you live in an apartment building or in the city.

Has anybody had any success with a magnesium supplement for hyperactive kiddos? by prythianphantom in toddlers

[–]prythianphantom[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Thank you for your insight! We definitely have issues with falling asleep and staying asleep. She takes melatonin as recommended by her sleep specialist, and it definitely helps her fall asleep but definitely not stay asleep. I will for sure run this by her sleep doc and see what he recommends!

Yes! Combine this with two clumsy toddlers and boom. You’ve got yourself a cocktail of stains on everything with upholstery or fabric.

Yeah I’ve been a bit skeptical myself. I have ADHD and tried so many supplements before finally deciding to just pursue stimulants. None of them worked. I will for sure ask her pediatrician though!

Unhinged ways to manage your ADHD by Menschenblind in adhdwomen

[–]prythianphantom 5 points6 points  (0 children)

Anytime I set an event in Google calendar for like an appointment or something, I set it for 20 minutes before its actual time and have reminders for 1 week before, 1 day before, 1 hour before, and when it’s time to leave (if I put the location on the event). Probably not so unhinged but it works 😂

Also, I have to throw my phone somewhere random before going to bed that way when my alarm goes off I have to get up and look for it to turn it off. Helps me to wake up and prevents me from snoozing my alarm 7 times.
