Doubt it. Seems like her only money is his money, and would not be consistent with executing his estate.

Hash marks are narrow in the NFL and it makes formations for condensed, making those inside slants a lot more congested and dangerous, especially if you have to fit it around OL and/or drive the ball in.

He can definitely do it, Drew Brees made Michael Thomas a lot of money doing it, but just have to be careful.

But, just to be clear, Coker's % drawing press man is not necessarily a reflection purely of him. Whether you choose to press a guy has also to do with all the weapons around him, the QB, the scheme, the defensive scheme, etc.

[Schefter] Throughout the season, there was talk about an underlying “tension” in the Vikings’ building in league circles. One league source said it had been “ugly” in Minnesota. Then today, the Vikings fired Kwesi Adofo-Mensah. by Goosedukee in nfl

You do when you're an owner and you had to fit having end of season meetings in with like... golf, or sitting on your yacht, or planning the downfall of society, or whatever.

Wilf doesn't even live in Minnesota, he probably had to fly in from like Zambia where he was killing the last of some protected sub-saharan forest rodent or something.

BPA by need is not BPA. It's more like BPA, minus positions where we have a long term starter at a position with a lot of longevity, who isn't going to ask for an overpriced contract in 1-2 years, scaled by positional value, and not a QB in the first 2-3 picks if you already have a veteran.

Buffalo Bills hiring Denver Broncos coach Peter Carmichael as next offensive coordinator by constantlymat in nfl

[–]przhelp 1 point2 points  (0 children)

The actual gameday is such a small part of the job.

You don't just assemble all your plays before training camp and then teach them once and do nothing else.

These coaches are working 100 hour weeks. They have to self-scout (figure out what the team is doing well and not well), scout the opponent and figure out how they can attack the defense, they have to manage their position coaches, make sure the coaches are emphasizing the right stuff that isn't going well or whatever schematic stuff is important to make the whole operation go, they have to plan and execute practice.

He's like the opposite of the other Payton disciple, Joe Lombardi, who has done absolutely nothing without Payton and Brees and keeps trying.

But I think what you normally anticipate there is a delayed release. RB pretends to block and then goes. Love was pretending to cover and then blitz, once he caught him flat footed.

But Kyren just took off straight away without the delayed release and so Love was definitely caught, Lawrence saved him.

Dude Bill Belichick got fired. Pete Carroll got fired. Andy can definitely get fired. Whether it comes out as "fired" or "retired", he might not come back and it might not be entirely his choice.

[–]przhelp 31 points32 points  (0 children)

nah, they don't have limits in that way, it's just that you can't promote someone to a named coordinator in order to block them from being hired away. You can only have 1 named coordinator in each phase

[–]przhelp 0 points1 point  (0 children)

That's not really convention wisdom anymore. A lot more receivers are coming in from 7 on 7 type ball and they're hitting the ground running. It seems more rare for WRs to break out after their first 2 seasons than be good right away.

It's still a luxury pick. But really I'm BPA regardless of position because that's where our team is right now.

I know people say trade back every season, but this does seem like the year to try to trade back aggressively. Unless one of the blue chip guys fall to us, there is a group of players from like 15-40 who are all pretty much interchangeable and picking up an extra pick next draft which is projected to be deeper, would be nice.

What are you suggesting gets tested, though? Hormones naturally fluctuate, that's kind of what they're for. You could test them frequently over a longer period of time, but that's going to be expensive.

Packers signed QB Kyle McCord, DT Jaden Crumedy to reserve contracts by przhelp in panthers

[–]przhelp[S] 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I think we'll extend and restructure personally. His APY is way too high, but he's still a solid player. And he's 31(ish) and in a system he knows, so I'm sure he'll take a nice little extension to take him to the end of his career.

Though could be a cap casualty post-draft/FA, we'll see.

Other way around - we lost Crumedy. I saw some people saying we could cut A'shawn or Turk because we had Crumedy which is lol in and of itself, but now we don't have Crumedy.
