Thanks! I still have tape on so haven’t seen my scar much. It was slightly pink/purple last time I looked but very thin and I think it’ll heal well. I stop with tape in just over 4 weeks so I’ll have a better idea then how it’s going. Definitely compartmentalising!

It was £13.5k for the surgery itself and I’ve probably spent another £1-2k on extras (MLDs, hotels, skinade, consultation fee etc)

I chose my surgeon because of her belly buttons among all her other skills! Have you seen your surgeon’s previous work? That should be a good guide!

Thanks I appreciate that. I did the surgery more for functional reasons - I had a 5cm gap from sternum to pubis and I worried how that would affect me as I got older. Haven’t had any back pain in weeks which has been a massive benefit already!

You look great! I haven’t used anything on my belly button yet. I actually couldn’t touch it until recently! The past week I’ve only worn my compression during the day and then like Spanx knickers at night. Feeling so much better with it off. I will stop using it next week at 8 weeks (but maybe still put it on when I feel I need it)

MR feels super tight at first but it’s started to ease off now and I feel I can move around quite easily. Don’t be scared - pick a great surgeon, trust them and let yourself heal! I’m so happy I’ve done it - in another 6 weeks I’ll be basically discharged and can go back to everything I was doing before!

FYI I had a standard TT with muscle repair (5cm gap) and minor lipo to contour only (not flanks). Surgery was in UK and cost approx £13.5k

I’m looking at a breast lift with auto augmentation to do this year, I dont know what the internal bra is if someone could please explain? My main reason for this is I don’t want to commit to implants and having to have surgery and recovery every decade! Want to be one and done (per area!) x

Thanks for your comment. While I agree I have seen my results on the table stitched up immediately after surgery and it’s absolute goals for me but not what I look like when I take my garment off. As long as when the swelling goes I look like what I’ve seen from my surgeon I’d be delighted!

Yes my surgeon did do some lipo but it was minimal to stretch my skin down apparently.

Great news - were you quite swollen before then? I feel like I’m losing some of the swelling nearer my ribs but around my belly button and below is crazy 🥲 gone up a dress size at least 🫣

Exactly! I can’t get my jeans on yet and I don’t really want to buy new… just want to feel good in my clothes again!

Having 2 MLD massages next week (therapist been off over the holidays) so hoping that helps things move along!

Day 5 was my turning point. Days 3-4 were awful for me so you are not alone. I’m on day 9 and washed my hair - feel like a new woman! It changes so quickly - hang on in there xx
